Amy Childs discusses return to TOWIE with Lauren Goodger as she reveals public flashing vajazzles

Amy Childs has revealed that members of the public flash her to show off their vajazzles after she made a name for herself on TOWIE promoting the pelvic jewels.

The Only Way Is Essex stars Amy, 33, and Lauren Goodger, 37, were two of just eight stars who filmed the very first episode of the show in 2010.

Amy made a return to the show in 2021 and now Lauren has followed suit, joining her as they both navigate the constructed reality programme as mothers.

Featuring on This Morning on Monday, Amy was asked if she still ‘vajazzles’ – a form of genital decoration made famous in the UK by the reality star.

‘Oh my god, no,’ Amy replied, before adding: ‘Everyone does still come up to me and if they have a vajazzle, they do get it out to me.¬†

‘When I went to Sugar Hut years ago, I had loads of girls getting their‚Ķ out. In the end, it was the norm then. I was like, “Ok then, get your vajazzle out and show me.”‘

Lauren laughed: ‘It was the norm.’¬†¬†¬†¬†

The pair spoke about their original time on the show and how it feels to return as the ‘old girls’ 14 years on.

Lauren announced in December she was returning to the show that made her famous Рmore than 10 years after her departure.

‘It feels weird because it’s so long ago but coming back to the show it feels like I never left,’ she told Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond on the ITV show.¬†

‘I feel like the same Lauren again, it’s really weird.’

In the time Lauren was away from the show, she became a mother to Larose, two, and Lorena who sadly passed away just after birth.

On the day of Lorena’s funeral in August 2022, Lauren’s ex-boyfriend Charles Drury was accused of attacking her.¬†He was charged with assault and engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour towards his ex, which he denied.

Of why she decided to return, she said: ‘Becoming a mum, you sort of lose your own identity, I went through a very traumatic time, sort of lost myself completely. I was in a healing process, which I still am but all I could be was a mum, there was nothing else.

Alison said it feels like a full circle and Lauren said: ‘Yeah, we’re chilled now’.

Amy added: ‘We’re the boring ones. All those years ago, it was the vajazzle and the spray tans. Now we’re like, I’ve got the four kids, Lauren’s got Larose, so we’re mums.’¬†

Talking about their overnight success when the reality show first began, Lauren said, ‘It just blew up. We were young, naive and vulnerable.
