America Ferrera’s eye-catching Oscars gown took a total of 400 hours to put together, according to Entertainment Tonight.
The 39-year-old star – who became emotional after meeting Leonardo DiCaprio for the first time – wore a stunning pink Versace bodycon gown with a trail made of chainmail, which gave it a vibrant glow.
For jewelry, the actress opted for items from Pomellato, including the Ode to Milan Castello Necklace, a bold collar design featuring rubellites and diamonds, and the Ode to Milan Castello Ring, featuring a rhodolite garnet and diamonds.
The ugly Betty star completed her look for the evening with simple stud earrings, while her make-up featured a soft smoky eye, nude lip and pink blush.
Ferrera shared a short behind-the-scenes video on Instagram on Monday afternoon, which showed her getting prepared for the annual awards show.

The performer was joined by several of her friends, as well as her husband Ryan Piers Williams, as she got ready for the star-studded event.
The actress wrote that she was ‘still buzzing’ from the excitement she felt during the Oscars in her post’s caption.
Ferrera admitted that being nominated for an Oscar was a ‘dream come true’ and ‘surreal’ during an interview with Entertainment Weekly that was released not long after she was put up for the award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Barbie.
The Superstore actress portrayed Gloria, a long-suffering Mattel employee, in the fantasy-comedy feature, which also starred Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling.
The movie made its debut in July of last year and quickly became a hit with critics, racking up a score of 88% on Rotten Tomatoes during its period of release.
The film also raked in nearly $1.5 billion from audiences, according to Box Office Mojo.
During her interview, Ferrera, who ultimately lost out to Da’Vine Joy Randolph, revealed that she had wanted to be recognized by the Academy ever since her early years.
‘I can so viscerally remember being a kid watching the Academy Awards and watching Halle Berry win, watching Julia Roberts win, and just dreaming one day that I would be in that room,’ she recalled.

However, the actress was ‘sad and disappointed’ about Greta Gerwig being snubbed for Best Director and Robbie not being nominated for the Oscar for Best Actress.
She said: ‘Their work in both of those categories was phenomenal and in my book, [they] deserve to be acknowledged for the history they made, for the ground they broke, for the beautiful artistry.
Ferrera added that, although she was grateful to have been put up for an Oscar, she would have liked for her collaborators to be recognized for their efforts.
‘They’re my girls, and I want to see them celebrated for their amazingness, so that part of it is definitely bittersweet,’ she said.
