Amanda Keller became emotional on Saturday after winning the Best On Air Team award alongside her Jonesy & Amanda co-host Brendan Jones at the ACRA Awards in Sydney.
The WSFM radio host, 61, struggled to hold back tears as she took to the stage with Jones, 52, to accept the countries most coveted radio award just days after sharing sad news about her husband Harley health.
‘I went public this week with the news my husband has Parkinson’s Disease. So to get out of bed to go to work with people you love saves us every day,’ she began.
‘I love my job, thank you so very much.’
The Sydney native later told news.com.au she was grateful she worked in such a supportive environment where she could openly discuss her personal life.

‘It’s been a week of really hard news this week. To share that with your audience, as hard as it is to rock up every day and acknowledge what’s going on in the world, it’s a privilege to do that dance every day.’
Keller’s win came just days after she made the heartbreaking admission her husband Harley Oliver has been suffering from Parkinson’s disease for years.
She shared the news during an episode of her podcast Double A Chattery.

The WSFM breakfast host, who has been married to Oliver since 1989, explained her husband received the diagnosis about six years ago, but the couple had only now decided to discuss the disease publicly.
‘I first noticed Harley’s footfall around the house changing, like he was dragging his leg, and his hands started to shake, and he said he’d just been whacked in the thumbs as a wicket keeper playing cricket, but I felt something was going on,’ Keller told her podcast co-host Anita McGregor, who is a forensic psychologist.
‘I know Harley so well, and how protective he is of his inner core, he was absolutely scared and in denial, and who would blame him?’

Shortly after they began to notice something was amiss, Oliver received the devastating news the couple had been dreading – he had Parkinson’s disease.
Parkinson’s is an incurable brain disorder characterised by uncontrollable movements, including shaking, stiffness, and challenges with balance and coordination.
Keller has been married to Harley since 1989 and has two adult sons with him, Liam and Jack.
