Amanda Holden showed off the new puppy she has adopted following the departure of daughter Lexi to university on Heart FM on Wednesday morning.
The TV and radio personality, 53, first announced her family was gaining a new member during her show on Monday.
Over the weekend, Amanda had bid an emotional farewell to her eldest daughter Lexi, 18, who was headed off to begin her first year.
And the star admitted on Monday’s Heart Breakfast that she was ‘replacing’ her by fostering a new puppy from Battersea Cats & Dogs home.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge revealed the female puppy licked her foundation off – and joked she wouldn’t accept that behaviour from anyone else.

She didn’t reveal the name of her new pet in the video, but she did praise Battersea and all charities like it and urged people to adopt from their local shelters.
On her Instagram page, Amanda shared a photo of herself in front of a poster of the late Paul O’Grady, who was a patron of Battersea.
She cuddled her dog in the photo and wrote over it: ‘@paulogrady would have definitely nabbed this little one.
‘Think of him often. Especially when I’m here @battersea ❤️.’
She discussed the adoption with her temporary Heart Breakfast co-host Jason King, who is filling in for Jamie Theakston.
On Tuesday, Jamie, 53, revealed he had been diagnosed with Stage 1 laryngeal cancer, a type of throat cancer.
He assured fans the cancer was very treatable at this stage, declaring: ‘I have cancer but cancer doesn’t have me!’
Amanda has credited Davina McCall for setting the ball rolling to Jamie’s eventual diagnosis.

Following news of Jamie’s diagnosis, Davina was a guest on the Heart Breakfast show, where she joked that while filling in for Amanda back in June, she feared she caused Jamie’s throat problems by ‘throttling him with a bear hug’.
After their embrace, Jamie first began to notice problems with his throat, and he eventually went to see a doctor after it became increasingly worse.
While appearing as a guest on the Heart Breakfast show, Davina was thanked by Amanda for prompting Jamie to go to the doctor’s.
Amanda said: ‘We kind of want to thank you because when, on the day that you left… now Davina is known for her bear hugs.’
‘I’m worried about this,’ interjected Davina.
Amanda then continued: ‘You gave Jamie a massive cuddle which kind of half throttled him. Because of that, when I came back, Jamie started losing his voice and it got worse and worse.’
Davina, clearly concerned, asked: ‘Did I do it?’
But Amanda reassured her that she wasn’t responsible for Jamie’s health problems, saying: ‘He went to the doctor and the doctor said@ ”This isn’t right, we’re going to look at your throat” and because of you, he went to the doctor in the first place.

Amazingly, Jamie only went to the doctor’s because Heart listeners noticed there was something different about his voice and expressed their concerns
‘Then, on his throat they found a lesion, which he’s since has removed and everything is fine.’
Jamie revealed on Instagram that he booked an appointment with doctors after listeners had noticed there was something not quite right with his voice.
Laryngeal cancer is a type of cancer that affects the larynx (voice box).
