Bynes’s rocky years included a nine-year conservatorship imposed by her parents in 2013 after erratic behaviour, legal issues, and substance abuse.

Though the conservatorship was terminated in March 2022, her mental health struggles persisted.
A year later, she was placed on a psychiatric hold after being found ‘roaming the streets naked and alone,’ TMZ reported.
She later completed a three-week stay in a mental health facility, with sources telling the Daily Mail that her split from Michael had been a major trigger and that he was ‘not a healthy and safe person for her to be around.’
