has revealed the council discovered a giant 'fatberg' blocking the drains under his £2.8million London home.

The Celebrity Traitors champion, 49, has lived in the swanky London bachelor pad since splitting from his husband Paul Drayton in 2022.

But he is facing a rather sticky situation after workmen found a fatberg, a rock-like mass of waste matter, in the sewage system under the house.

Alan revealed the council got in touch to inform him of the blockage and that the cause was a build up of wet wipes being flushed down the toilet.

However the presenter insists he doesn't own wet wipes and said the 'mystery' is now to discover which one of his friends is the culprit.

Speaking on the most recent episode of his Bottoms Up! podcast on Wednesday, Alan said: 'I have a mystery. Council have been in touch. There's a fatberg under my house... which is blocking up the pipe.

'You know when idiots put things down the toilet and it congeals? There was one as big as your head once and it causes trouble. The shower doesn't work properly, the water bubbles up. There's a fatberg.

'Plot twist: someone's been putting wet wipes down my toilet - and I don't have wet wipes in my house. One of my friends is doing the toilet and... I don't know who it is.'

He added: 'I'm going to have to do a stop and search when people come in because someone is doing it... It's costing me a fortune.

'We've all got to chip in, the whole row of houses... because there's a fatberg. So what happens is, I don't do this, but people put grease down there and like they pour the oil.'

In another domestic move for Alan, it was revealed earlier this week that he  is days away from .

Alan purchased Ayton Castle earlier this year and new images of the sprawling estate have been revealed.

The vast property boasts 17 bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a five-storey tower, a private chapel, and 106 acres of gardens.

Alan enjoyed a resurgence in popularity last year after winning the first series of Celebrity Traitors.

Clearly inspired by Ardross Castle, where the show is filmed, he went on to purchase his own baronial-style abode, which he plans to transform into a luxury hotel and spa.

In February, Alan told The Sun he had signed a seven-figure deal with Disney+ to film a series documenting the renovation of Ayton Castle.

He said of the purchase: 'Some men when they have a midlife crisis buy a Lamborghini or grow a ponytail, but me - I want my very own castle.

'Since I was a boy in Northampton, I've always dreamt big, and have always been enchanted with the history and romance of a stately home.

'As I turn 50, I feel it's time, all I want is a turret to call my own — get me over that drawbridge.'

The renovation series, which has the working title Castle Man, is set to take on a similar set-up to his show with Amanda Holden.

The show is reportedly being produced by Expectation, the same company responsible for .

In another domestic move for Alan, it was revealed earlier this week that he is days away from getting the keys to the £3.25million Traitors-style Scottish castle (pictured earlier this year)

The Daily Mail contacted Alan's representatives for comment.

The TV personality confirmed he has the rights to The Barony of Ayton title and is planning on getting his own tartan.

The barony dates back to 1324 and was available to purchase alongside the estate.

Alan, who was inspired to buy Ayton Castle after his time on Celebrity Traitors, spoke to and on their Staying Relevant podcast about his new status.

He said: 'I'm in my turret era. I want a castle and I'm 50. I'm not going to be around forever. I think 50, I just want to do what I want to do.

'I've always wanted a castle. I'm a baron. I'm going to get my own tartan.'
