Paramount+ have revealed the first images from new series Insomnia, in which Vicky McClure plays as a successful career woman whose life starts to unravel when she suddenly stops sleeping.
Line Of Duty and Trigger Point actress Vicky, 40, leads in the British drama based on the book of the same name by Sarah Pinborough.
She plays the character Emma, who fears she may be losing her mind when everything in her perfect life begin to go wrong.
Two weeks before her 40th birthday, she stops sleeping – just like her mother did right before she had a psychotic breakdown on the night of her 40th birthday.
This leaves her gripped with fear as Emma’s mother Patricia Bournett (Corinna Marlowe) always said that Emma would end up like her because she has the same ‘bad blood’.
