Tiffany Haddish faced flak on social media on Tuesday as she shared a clip from the first-class cabin of a flight bound for Israel, where she said she was visiting to get a better understanding of its ongoing conflict with Hamas.
Haddish, 44, spoke to her more than 7.4 million followers on Instagram as she relaxed in business class and nursed an orange juice.
Haddish noted that she was ‘sleepy as hell’ and had planned to rest over the course of the 16-hour flight ahead of her as she departed out of Los Angeles.
The Emmy-winning actress-comic said she planned on visiting locations including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the Dead Sea in an effort to gain more knowledge on the conflict, which began October 7 after Hamas rampaged a music festival in southern Israel, slaughtering around 1,200 people and taking hostage another 250.
‘This is an educational trip for me … Iโm gonna learn about the politics,’ Haddish said. ‘See, I feel like I canโt believe I see everything on the Internet … I need to go see for myself, Iโm one of those people.’

‘Iโm gonna go see and then Iโm gonna tell yโall what I think, Iโm gonna go see with my own eyes,’ Haddish said.

‘Iโm gonna go talk to people, Iโm gonna go find out why is this happening? Why is this going down?’
