Former Love Islander Kady McDermott has weighed in on this series villa drama in light of Wednesday’s First Look.
Taking to the Instagram comment section, the influencer, who starred in the reality series back in 2016 before returning to the show for a second time last summer, gave an insight into Joanna Chimonides and Georgia Steel’s friendship.
Suggesting that the pair are not friends anymore the star stirred the pot as she made a dig at Georgia’s antics in the villa.
Despite being currently coupled up with Chris, in Wednesday’s teaser it looks as though Joanna’s head might be turned as she pulls Arabella up to the terrace for a girls chat.
After Chris’ recoupling speech has left Joanna questioning what’s next, she tells Arabella: ‘I just feel like I don’t know what to think about me and Chris…he’s got such a big jokey personality but sometimes I’m like, what’s the real you?
Love Island’s Kady McDermott has revealed Joanna Chimonides and Georgia Steel aren’t close anymore and slams Georgia for trying to ‘claim every boy in there’ in her latest honest take
Kady suggested that the pair are not friends anymore and stirred the pot as she made a dig at Georgia’s antics in the villa
‘And the speech…as much as he thought through the speech it was sarcastic and a showman personality…’
As Arabella replies: ‘If his energy is already grating on you now, imagine it a year down the line. This should be honeymoon amazing…’, Joanna then sets her sights on Callum.
She explains: ‘Plot twist…Callum is so nice. So genuine and so lovely,’ as Arabella responds: ‘I definitely think you need to explore this with Callum.
The next day, Joanna decides to act on her impulses and pulls Callum for a chat, only for Georgia Steel to dob her in to Chris.
‘Mini fire pit. Callum and Jo,’ hints Georgia as she turns Chris’ attention to the pair on the other side of the villa.
‘I just saw her grab him, that’s all,’ adds Georgia insinuating that Chris has something to worry about.
Commenting on the clip one fan asked: ‘Aren’t Joanna and Georgia S close friends, tho ? Dosen’t look real.’
Yet replying to the observation, Kady shot down the idea that they are close as she revealed: ‘wouldn’t say they’re close anymore but not my place to discuss tbh. All I know is Jo is a genuine nice girl and deserves a genuine nice boy.’
In a first look at the upcoming show, Georgia stirred the pot as she alerted Chris Taylor to the fact his partner Joanna Chimonides had pulled Callum Jones for a chat
Georgia revealed: ‘I just saw her grab him, that’s all’, prompting a visibly irked Chris to respond: ‘B******s’, given he had picked her the night before at the recoupling
As one fan remarked that they thought Joanna and Georgia were friends, Kady set the record straight, ‘wouldn’t say they’re close anymore but not my place to discuss tbh’
Weighing in on the Georgia drama she added: ‘Gee can’t claim every boy in there cos she’s had some form of “history” snooze you lose’.
Kady also supported Joanna’s decision to jump ship as she also penned: ‘Thank f**k Jo you had me worried with the Chris situation for a second GO GET CALLUM IMMEDIATELY.’
It comes after viewers slammed Georgia and her ‘crocodile tears’ in the aftermath from the explosive PDA Awards earlier this week.
The reality star had been coupled up with Callum Jones before her head was turned by new arrival Tom Clare and Toby Aromolaran – both of whom she had had brief history with.
Her secret flirting and less than honest behaviour was exposed to the villa and the star seemed more concerned about being accused of lying than apologising to a heartbroken Callum.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one viewer said: ‘And the funniest thing about Georgia probably still thinks she did nothing wrong’.
While a second said: ‘Georgia S really lacks self awareness and accountability.
Someone else commented: ‘I can’t watch one more day of Georgia Steel’s crocodile tears and fake whinny voice’.
And: ‘Georgia S you are nothing but a gaslighter’.
