The former Love Island star said ‘there are so many beautiful things that come along with ADHD’ as she opened up on his time in the jungle
‘I think it’s such a difficult thing to talk openly about because there are so many personal struggles alongside ADHD and a lot of self-confusion but there are so many beautiful things that comes alongside ADHD and I think we’ve seen that in the jungle.
‘There is a lot of stigma around any kind of neurodivergents, it’s really tough to speak about because in some ways it’s this feeling of abnormalities like “why am I not like other people”, but really it’s such a beautiful thing as well.’
Sam and Zara have been dating since 2019 and moved in together during lockdown.
Sam recently revealed the real reason why he isn’t rushing to have a baby with his girlfriend Zara on Wednesday’s I’m A Celebrity.
But Sam confided in his campmate Josie Gibson he isn’t looking to start a family with Zara anytime soon.
The conversation started when Sam quizzed Josie, who has a son Reggie, five, with her ex-boyfriend Terry, about hosting This Morning.
Josie, 38, said: ‘Five years ago [I started hosting This Morning]. It’s such a good gig. I will say this, my career didn’t kick off until Reggie was a few months old.
‘Everybody thinks you have a baby and your life is over. It was totally the opposite for me.’

Sam asked: ‘Do you have a plan?’
Josie said: ‘Because I’ve always wanted to work for This Morning and I’ve always wanted to be a TV presenter I feel like, in my head, I feel like I’ve sort of made it because I’ve got to where I wanted to be.’
Sam replied: ‘That’s what everyone looks for.’ To which Josie asked: ‘A lovely place to be. What do you want?’
Sam said: ‘I want to get to that stage, really Jose where you’re at, where you’re like, “Do you know what? This is me”.’
Josie told Sam: ‘You’re going to be the best dad as well.’
Sam said: ‘Thanks, Jose. It’s kind of tough to explain this, a lot of people- you not included – a lot of guys who are like, “Mate, you need to have kids, you need to have kids,” but my circumstances are different to yours.’
Sam said a big driving factor in why he isn’t rushing to have children is because Zara ‘is doing so well’ in her career.
Zara appeared in this series of Strictly Come Dancing with Graziano DiPrima and has reinvented herself as a documentary presenter for the BBC.
Josie told Sam: ‘I had Reg at 33 and I’m so glad I had him at that age as well. I really lived my life. ‘I totally lived it’ (Josie pictured with Reggie right)

‘My girlfriend, and I would never want to take this away from her, is doing so well. I know she doesn’t want to give that up. And she shouldn’t have to,’ Sam said.
‘There will come a time where we’ll both be like, “Yeah, now’s the time”, but I just don’t think it’s now.’
Josie told Sam: ‘I had Reg at 33 and I’m so glad I had him at that age as well. I really lived my life.
‘I totally lived it. If anything happened to me tomorrow Sam, I have had a blinder. I’ve had a real a good time. Until you feel like that, you know, hold out.’
It comes after Sam was left emotional when a heartfelt letter from Zara was read out in camp.
Tony Bellew read Sam’s for him. It said: ‘It’s your Goose here. Keep shining, keep lighting up the camp in your special way and know just how beautiful a person everyone thinks you are.’
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues Thursday at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX
