It comes after Hannah is a new big name to have been tipped to host Strictly after Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly revealed they would be stepping down
Hannah is no stranger to the glitzy world of dance after starting out in the London theatre scene in her early 20s.
However it was only five years ago that Hannah got her big break when she bagged the role of Richmond FC owner Rebecca Welton in the hit Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso – which has earned her two Emmys for Best Supporting Actress.
She has since stunned audience and critics alike with her quick wit, old-school glamour and incredible singing voice.
A real showgirl, it seems her star quality would be a perfect addition to the dancefloor, plus she is already friends with judge Anton Du Beke and his wife Hannah.
Back in 2024 it was reported that Hannah had been in talks to compete in the show, with an insider revealing she loves the show – it would just come down to her schedule and whether she could commit. She is currently at 3-1.
Tess and Claudia shared a joint video on Instagram on Thursday, saying: ‘After 21 wonderfully joyful years on Strictly, we have decided that the time is right to step aside and pass on the baton.’
Tess added: ‘Strictly has been more than just a television programme. It’s felt like having a third child, a second family, and a huge part of my life since that very first show back in 2004.’
Meanwhile Claudia described hosting the show as ‘the greatest relationship of my career.’
