Shocked cinemagoers have stormed out of Nicole Kidman’s steamy new age gap romance Babygirl.
The Hollywood star, 57, stars as married company boss Romy who falls for her young intern Samuel, played by Harris Dickinson, 28, and they embark on a steamy affair.
The movie features a whole host of very erotic scenes, including one where Romy seductively downs a glass of milk and another where she drinks milk off a saucer before Samuel licks it off her lip.
However, many cinemagoers were left completely shocked by the racy content, with many walking out of the movie theatre after thinking it would be a standard rom com.
A Daily Mail reporter attended an advance screening of the sexually-charged film on Monday night and witnessed multiple older couples walking out of the theatre.
One couple left the screening just 45 minutes into the movie while another couple made the decision to stop watching after the sexually-charged plate licking scene.

The movie isn’t slated for official release in Australia until January 30, but premiered in the US on Christmas Day and in the UK on January 10.
Since arriving in cinemas, many other viewers have also taken to social media to remark that they had seen people walking out of the cinema before the movie ended.
One TikTok user admitted they thought it was going to be a rom com and were left stunned, adding: ‘People walked out & we were sat in shock the whole time.’
Another unimpressed fan wrote on X: ‘Babygirl is insufferable wtf ??? had to walk out mid movie.’
‘Watched Babygirl and nearly left mid movie, that s**t was so boring wtf,’ a third remarked.
Another said: ‘I’m sorry but the movie Babygirl sucked. It really did. First movie in a long time that I checked the time and went ”damn, still an hour left???” I’m surprised I even watched the whole thing.’
Taking to Reddit, one cinemagoer claimed one couple had been ‘very loud’ about their dislike of the movie before storming out.
They penned: ‘Was at a screening of Babygirl with 2 couples and myself. Both couples walked out before the movie ended. I stayed the whole time but wish I would have joined them tbh.

‘One couple was older and I knew they wouldn’t make it (obviously didn’t know what they were in for). The other couple was younger and surprised they left!’
However, other fans took to social media to strongly disagree with the criticism, and gushed over how much they enjoyed the steamy romance.
One wrote: ‘More and more I’m realizing I’m in the minority for having enjoyed this movie.’
Another shared: ‘I’m in the same boat. I thought the movie was great, but I’m seeing more and more people who did not like it.’
A third tweeted: ‘I loved Babygirl. I love Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson, their chemistry was so natural.’
A fourth commented: ‘Oh my gosh this was soooooo good!!!!!!!’ and another added: ‘Saw it yesterday. So good! Unexpected twists at several points in the film.’
Babygirl’s sexually-charged scenes have certainly got viewers talking, particularly the unexpected erotic scenes which involve milk.
During one wild moment, Nicole’s character Romy is seen crouching down and licking milk off a plate before Samuel then sucks it off her lip.
In another saucy moment, Romy also seductively drinks an entire glass of milk in a bar while Samuel watches.
However, many cinemagoers were left completely shocked by the racy content, with many walking out of the movie theatre after thinking it would be a standard rom com
In the scene, Samuel has already caught the eye of Romy when they enjoy some drinks after work with their colleagues.
Romy is then presented with a glass of milk by a waiter and she realises that Samuel has ordered the drink for her, prompting her to drink the entire glass as he watches.
As he walks out of the bar, Samuel then whispers to her, ‘Good girl,’ setting the scene for the intense power-play dynamics in their budding relationship.
Director Halina Reijn has revealed what inspired the sensual scene, revealing something similar actually happened to her when she was in her 30s.
Halina, 49, recalled going out for drinks after performing on stage when a famous Belgian actor – whom she noted was ‘way, way younger’ than her – sent her a glass of milk.
‘I drank it, and he just walked out,’ she told W Magazine. ‘I thought, ”How does this guy get the courage?” I did think it was a very sensual thing to do. And I thought it was very funny.’
Nicole also addressed what it was like to take on what is considered to be her most erotic role yet, revealing she was far from fazed to strip off for the steamy scenes.
‘The thing that attracted me to the film is that it’s in the voice of the female,’ she shared on The Graham Norton Show.
A Daily Mail reporter attended an advance screening of the sexually-charged film on Monday night and cited seeing multiple older couples storming out of the theatre
‘A lot of films in this genre we saw in the 90s came from the male view, but this is twisted around and told though the lens of a woman.’
Host Graham asked her if she was hesitant about filming the sex scenes, but Nicole insisted that she was only ever excited and wanted to go beyond her ‘comfort zone’.
‘I loved the script, I love supporting women in the industry, and it was just really good. It is exciting and bold, and I am always looking to push out of my comfort zone,’ she shared.
However, the erotic scenes in Babygirl were not without their challenges as Nicole admitted she had to pause shooting the intense scenes at one point.
According to The Sun, she said: ‘There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration. It’s like, ”Don’t touch me”.
‘There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ”I don’t want to orgasm any more. Don’t come near me. I hate doing this”.
”’I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life! I’m over it”. It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout.’
The cast convened with an intimacy co-ordinator for the racy scenes and Nicole believes she was able to act the racy moments because Halina was a female director.
Nicole has not been afraid to push boundaries during her 40-year career, famously starring in an orgy scene in the 1999 film Eyes Wide Shut with her then-husband Tom Cruise.
