Tina Arena has made a triumphant return to the stage after illness that caused her to cancel her Love Saves World tour in 2023.

The Australian pop diva wowed the crowds at Mornington Racecourse in Melbourne on Saturday and appeared in excellent health.

The 57-year-old put in an energetic performance as she rocked through her biggest chart hits.

Tina was glowing, showing off her ageless visage as she belted out tunes dressed in a loose, 1960s style gown.

She pulled her brunette locks off her face, adding a metallic hair accessory, adding a vintage brooch to tie the look together.

The singer opted for a clean makeup look with rosy cheeks and a rust red lipstick as well as affixing gems to her face.

Earlier this year, the pop star revealed the details of her battle with an illness that set back her career.

Speaking to Yvie Jones on the Two Girls One Pod podcast, Tina explained she had cut her tour short last year after just two shows in Sydney and in Perth because she was in ‘excruciating pain.’

‘I’ll never forget it,’ she said, admitting that she had been rushed to an emergency room after pain in her kidney became completely unbearable.

Doctors then discovered she had an infected kidney and Tina was in ICU for almost seven days.

‘My kidney was very close to exploding because it was highly, highly infected. I wasn’t aware of how bad it actually was,’ the singer said.

‘I actually looked at them and I said, “I’m on the road, I’ve got 10 days to recover”‘, Tina continued.

However, the doctors suggested she should cancel the tour.

The Chains hitmaker announced the cancellation of the tour in October last year.

The cancelled gigs included a Gold Coast concert scheduled for October 12, a Melbourne show for October 20 and the tour’s finale in Adelaide on October 21.

‘For the very first time, I have to postpone the rest of my Australian shows,’ she explained in her Instagram story at the time.

‘Believe me when I say, it was a hard decision. But remember, health always comes first. Therefore, to ensure it won’t happen again… here we are.

‘Please hold on to your tickets, there will be more information soon.

‘I wish you all the very best, and my sincere apologies for any inconveniences.’

Tina included a black and white photo of herself rehearsing with her band in a studio in the post.

Fans and followers were quick to throw support behind the singer, filling her message board with well-wishes.

‘Take care of you darling heart,’ wrote one friend.

Comedian Julia Morris messaged: ‘Such a hard decision… but you are right… without our health we have nuttin. Love you x.’

‘You should never apologize for something out of your control. Everyone understands. Health absolutely comes first. Sending lots of love,’ wrote another follower.
