Daniel Craig Debuts New Look at ‘Wake Up Dead Man’ Premiere with Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington, and Glenn Close

Daniel Craig has revealed a striking new look as he joined his glamorous co-stars Mila Kunis, Kerry Washington and Glenn Close at the Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery premiere.

The James Bond actor, 57, has played Benoit Blanc in the Knives Out movie series since 2019 and reprises the role in its next instalment.

Arriving on the red carpet for the premiere at the Southbank Centre, Royal Festival Hall, London, on the opening night of the BFI London Film Festival on Wednesday, Daniel was seen sporting a new hairdo.

Daniel appeared to trade in his usually slicked silver locks for a wiry voluminous look, paired with his grey tweed double-breasted suit, light blue shirt and red striped tie.

Meanwhile actress Mila, 42, turned heads in a black beaded strapless gown, featuring a bejewelled bodice and satin balloon skirt.

Also seen on the carpet was Kerry, 48, who looked sensational in a figure-hugging silver mirror sequin strapless gown.

She paired the look with velvet elbow-length gloves, open-toed platform heels and an array of silver jewellery.

Another co-star at the premiere was Cailee Spaeny, who wore a cream halterneck gown featuring a sequin bodice and full skirt.

They were joined by Irish actor Andrew Scott, who sported a pair of sage green tailored trousers, a butter yellow blazer, pink shirt and a black tie.

Meanwhile Josh Brolin kept it casual in grey tailored trousers, a white t-shirt and a green velvet blazer.

Daryl McCormack looked stylish in a grey oversized suit paired with a dark green shirt and black and white polka dot tie.

Daniel’s return as detective Benoit Blanc in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery has already been hailed a triumph – with the film landing a perfect 100 per cent rating on Rotten Tomatoes ahead of its release.

The third instalment in Rian Johnson’s hit whodunnit franchise sees Blanc investigating a chilling murder in a sombre church setting.

The film is not out until December 12, but early critics’ reviews have been glowing.

Collider declared: ‘Wake Up Dead Man is twistier, darker and more emotional than the previous two instalments, in which Johnson explores ideas of faith and logic and the mythologising that gets us through the day – all in a brilliant murder mystery.’

Punch Drunk Critics agreed, calling it ‘the most intricate mystery of them all, grappling with issues of faith, redemption, revenge and forgiveness.’

Meanwhile, The Wrap branded the film a ‘glorious, goofy gothic horror.’

They added: ‘Although Wake Up Dead Man is the Knives Out movie that’s most preoccupied with existential questions surrounding death, writer and director Rian Johnson’s third film in the series is also the one that’s most full of life.’

The Netflix production started principal photography last summer and director Rian gushed about the cast he has assembled for the film.

‘We’ve been very lucky with each of these movies to have gathered some of my favourite actors on the planet, and that’s absolutely the case here,’ he said referring to Craig as well as other stars.

‘They’re also all lovely folks who get along, which is the dinner party aspect of it. When you’re making an ensemble movie like this I think that’s key.’

Jeremy takes on a whole part in the third film. He appeared in the second film in the form of a bottle of ‘Renning Hot’ habanero chili pepper sauce.

He took that joke in stride and Johnson was thrilled to get the chance to work with him.

‘Jeremy’s a great actor who I’ve wanted to work with for a long time,’ Rian told Netflix’s Tudum.

‘I was very relieved he thought the hot sauce thing was funny! He’s playing a proper part in this one, we’ll keep the sauce off screen. Maybe we’ll sneak a few bottles onto the catering table.’

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will be released in select cinemas on 28 November, before releasing on Netflix on December 12
