Elle Macpherson appeared to be in good spirits as she touched down back in Sydney on Sunday after revealing her shock cancer diagnosis.
The Australian model, 60, battled breast cancer seven years ago but revealed the diagnosis for the first time in an interview on Monday about her newly released self-titled memoir.
Elle, who is in remission, revealed she went against the advice of 32 doctors by refusing chemotherapy after undergoing a lumpectomy for HER2 positive oestrogen receptive intraductal carcinoma – a type of breast cancer.
The actress was met with a huge backlash following her frank interview, and was branded ‘shockingly irresponsible’ by medics and fans.
Despite the backlash, Elle was all smiles as she arrived back at Sydney Airport over the weekend following a trip to Hayman Island.
For the outing, Elle looked effortlessly stylish in a beige shirt and matching trousers as she kept comfortable for her travels.
She added a pop of colour to her chic ensemble with a pair of vibrant red sandals and shielded her eyes with a pair of brown aviator shades.
Elle carried her essentials in a cross-body handbag as she strolled through the airport after arriving back in Sydney following her trip.
