On Thursday, the Variety editor and host of the publication’s Actors On Actors program sat with Vergara on stage and dished about her acclaimed performance in her portrayal as Griselda Blanco.
The Barranquilla, Atlántico, Colombia native, 51, would also take another selfie in front of a mirror in that backstage area, only this time she focused more on her upper body.
She matched that picture with a wide shot of the stage where she and Riley sat in front of guests that included both journalists and fans.
They proceeded to chat about the miniseries in which Vergara portrays Griselda Blanco, a prominent Colombian drug lord in the cocaine-based drug trade and underworld of Miami, Florida, in the 1980s, who was also known as the ‘Godmother of Cocaine.’
Created by Doug Miro, Eric Newman, Carlo Bernard and Ingrid Escajeda and directed by Andrés Baiz, the story follows Griselda during her pursuit of power and wealth amid her rise in the Miami scene.
