He overhauled his diet and exercise regime a decade ago and started exercising every day.

And on Tuesday, The Morning Show host Larry Emdur, 59, proved his incredible upper body strength as he did a workout before his hosting the breakfast show.

Emdur was challenged to do a series of push ups by celebrity trainer Joseph Sakoda  just minutes before he was due on air as co-host Kylie Gillies watched on.

Emdur and Sakoda later laughed off the challenge during their interview.

Sakoda has made it his life mission to transform the bodies of both the military forces and celebrities.

Emdur previously revealed he had a ‘lightbulb’ moment and decided to start working out daily and eating better food after feeling sluggish.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph back in 2020, Larry said: ‘ I had started to feel sluggish and not great and I thought “I can’t feel like this for the rest of my life.”

‘I wasn’t ready to feel old’.

He said that he ‘started training like crazy’ and has never been fitter.

He went on to explain he exercises ‘every single day’ for at least ’30 minutes’ and he has reduced his alcohol consumption.

‘In my 20s and 30s and 40s I was at the pub with the boys drinking like a demon but you soon learn you can’t do that anymore,’ he added.

Nowadays, Larry says that he has a ‘better understanding’ of the effects of drinking  on his body both ‘physically and mentally’.

Larry, who could easily pass for a man in his early 40s, will celebrate his 60th birthday in December.
