31-year-old singer Cat Janice, known for viral song supporting son, passes away after battle with cancer

The relatives of musician Cat Janice, best known for her song Dance You Outta My Head, announced that she died from cancer on Wednesday morning. 

In a statement, shared to Instagram, the 31-year-old performer’s loved ones revealed that she passed away in her childhood home ‘surrounded by her loving family.’ 

 ‘Catherine peacefully entered the light and love of her heavenly creator,’ the post began. ‘We are eternally thankful for the outpouring of love that Catherine and our family have received over the past few months.’

They continued: ‘Cat saw her music go places she never expected and rests in the peace of knowing that she will continue to provide for her son through her music. This would not have been possible without all of you.’ 

Janice blew up on social media, particularly TikTok, after revealing that she had  transferred all her songs to her seven-year-old son Loren’s name, so he would receive all the proceeds.
