The movie is her first performance since her Oscar-winning turn in The Eyes Of Tammy Faye. Memory will have it’s initial release date on September 8.
In Memory she plays Sylvia, ‘a social worker and a recovering alcoholic grappling with childhood trauma, who leads a simple and structured life. This is blown open when Saul follows her home from their high school reunion.
‘Their surprise encounter will profoundly impact both of them as they open the door to the past,’ as per IMDb.
For the film, Jessica wore no make-up, did not have a trailer, and bought her own costumes for the New York shoot…
Speaking about shooting, she said: ‘Because I have been doing bigger things sometimes and have gotten a lot of attention as of late, [there’s been the idea] that I would not be interested in being on a set without a trailer…
‘We had the Oscars, and I won for ‘Tammy Faye,’ and then right after that, I showed up on set to do ‘Memory.’ Michel said that a lot of people told him, ‘Oh Jessica is going to leave your film because she just won an Oscar’.
Her stunning appearance comes two days after the star openly showed her support to Sophie Turner – amid the latter recent split from Joe Jonas.
Things between the singer, 34, and the GOT sensation, 27, become increasingly messy after Joe filed for divorce from the mother of his two children in Miami, Florida, earlier this month.
And Jessica has taken to X (formerly known as Twitter) to show her support for pal Sophie by retweeting a tweet from another account which slammed Joe.
Taking to X, Jessica retweeted a post from activist Roxane Gay that said: ‘The way Joe Jonas has miscalculated his popularity with his transparent attempts at PR manipulation, particularly when the North remembers is FASCINATING…
‘And holding the children’s passports to keep them from their mother? Bruh.’
The actress then captioned the retweeted post with ‘The Oracle @rgay (heart emoji).
The tweet comes after Jonas brothers star, Joe, filed for divorce from Sophie on September 1, and details of the couple’s messy divorce battle have emerged daily.
After filing for divorce, Joe took to Instagram to post a statement, which claimed to be from both him and Sophie, asking the public for privacy during this difficult time.
The post read, ‘After four wonderful years of marriage, we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage…
‘There are many speculative narratives as to why but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.’
However, it appears the couple’s divorce so far has not been amicable, as last week, Sophie’s lawyers accused Joe of ‘wrongful retention’ regarding their children.
New role: In Memory she stars alongside Peter Sarsgaard, 52, as a social worker named Sylvia. Memory will have it’s initial release date on September 8; They are seen filming in 2022

The couple share Willa, three, and a 14-month-old Delphine, whose name was revealed just recently.
In court documents Sophie claimed that an argument that took place on August 15 may have been the end of their marriage, and Joe filed for divorce less than three weeks later.
Sophie also claimed that she was not told directly about the divorce, and it has also been alleged that Joe would not return the children’s passports so that Sophie could return to England with the children.
