Last year she won rave reviews for her starring turn in epic space opera Dune: Part Two.
But Zendaya appears to have moved on from the desert planet Arrakis and taken a leaf out of Star Trek’s book, as she was seen exploring space in a new sci-fi themed advert for sportwear company On.
The bold commercial for the athletic fashion brand sees the actress, 28, onboard a futuristic spacecraft, while modelling a slew of figure-hugging sports looks.
Billed as ‘the greatest movie never made’, Zone Dreamers sees the stunner donning a pixie cut and pointed ears, like those famously worn by half-Vulcan Spock in Star Trek, and exploring space with a motley crew.
The sci-fi ad begins with a typically glamorous Zendaya giving herself a pep talk in a bathroom mirror, saying: ‘You can do anything. You can be, you can be anyone.’
She is then interrupted by three pals, one of whom announces: ‘The crew is ready, going to put the “work” in workout.’

As one female friend asks: ‘Who are you talking to?’ the camera switches back to Zendaya, now with her hair cut short to show her pointed ears.
She smiles at her friends, who are now also sporting the same hairstyle and ears as well as shimmery astronaut suits, as they begin the countdown to lift off.
A theatrical narration over the top of the video teases: ‘Zone Dreamers. In all space and time, where every eventuality lies just out of reach. One crew unite on a journey that will push their limits and realise their wildest dreams.’
While clips are shown of Zendaya showing off her athleticism, by doing forward rolls, using a bag of cereal flakes as a punching bag and lifting weights up, albeit using the handy hack of zero gravity.
She can be seen showing off her taut midriff in a sports crop top and matching leggings as well as wearing a see-through spacesuit that resembles her famous Mugler look from the Dune: Part Two premiere last year.
Other funny moments see the Euphoria star accidentally pressing the wrong button and nearly jettisoning her crewmates into open space.
At one point she and her team zoom across space to explore a new planet, while the narrator declares: ‘Four friends go forth to go forth to find for themselves the true strength of unity.’
The ad ends with the foursome hitting up at a retro diner for a pizza and an ‘intergalactic space juice’ where the narrator is revealed to be a smartly-dressed alien, who teases: ‘To be continued…’

It marks the latest commercial for On that Zendaya has fronted since she was announced as the new face of the running shoes and clothing company last summer.
The Swiss sportswear brand capitalized on the buzz around her tennis-focused film Challengers, which was released just months before.
Gushing about the star, co-founder David Allemann told Vogue: ‘We’ve been massive admirers of Zendaya’s ability to inspire a generation and dream big.
‘We can’t think of a better partner to help us grow, evolve and connect with people around the world than Zendaya.’
While Zendaya expressed her own delight to be working with the brand, saying: ‘It’s no secret that I’ve been a big fan of On for a long time.
‘I’m always wearing them on set, or when I’m travelling, rehearsing or running around with my dog. So it’s a full-circle moment to make this partnership official.’
Her first short film for the company was named Dream Together and saw her joined by a group of athletic co-stars on a track field set.
Directed by C Prinz, according to Vogue it ‘delves into the ideas around sport and connection, in anticipation of the world’s audience coming together for the Olympic Games come July’.

Zendaya noted at the time: ‘I owe so much to the people around me for getting me to where I am and this film recognises and appreciates those who support and uplift us every day.
‘I think this feeling of collaboration and inclusiveness shines through in what we’ve created.’
The new sci-fi ad comes amid fan predictions that Zendaya will see an Oscar coming her way in the near future, after it was announced she had scored the lead role in a biopic on the late Ronnie Spector.
The actress was first in talks to play the legendary Ronettes singer five years ago, but Deadline reported last month that she has officially nabbed the part in the film, called Be My Baby.
Before her tragic passing in 2022, Ronnie, who was an executive producer on the film, specifically picked Zendaya to play her in the A24 biopic.
In addition to Zendaya’s casting, the publication reported Oscar-winning screenwriter Barry Jenkins – who helmed Moonlight – has signed on to direct the biopic and Dave Kajganich will write the original screenplay.
And fans were quick to predict that this will be the role that lands Zendaya her first Oscar nomination, with one tweeting: ‘Remember this tweet… Zendaya is getting an Oscar for this! I see the vision’.
Ronnie’s estate appeared to confirm the news as they posted a screenshot of the film update and a message of approval over the new additions.

The actress was first in talks to play the legendary Ronettes singer five years ago, but Deadline reported last month that she has officially nabbed the part in the film, called Be My Baby (seen last year)
They wrote: ‘The Estate of Ronnie Spector is thrilled to have Barry Jenkins at the helm of this deeply personal film. Ronnie handpicked Zendaya to portray her and we know this dynamic duo will bring her story to the screen in the most authentic way’.
Sources told Deadline that Zendaya and Barry had decided on a film that will bring audiences inside Ronnie’s life with her then-husband, the infamously unstable music producer Phil Spector, as opposed to a typical biopic that chronicles the subject’s entire lifespan.
The publication noted that the deals over Ronnie’s life rights and her memoir, Be My Baby, are still in place.
Ronnie, whose hits include Baby I Love You and Be My Baby, died of cancer at age 78 in 2022.
Zendaya paid tribute to Ronnie following her death, saying it had been an ‘honor’ to know her and voicing her hopes she would ‘do her proud’.
Alongside a selfie the two had taken together, she penned: ‘To speak about her as if she’s not with us feels strange as she is so incredibly full of life. There’s not a time I saw her without her iconic red lips and full teased hair, a true rockstar through and through.’
Recalling details of the time they spent together, she went on: ‘Thank you for sharing your life with me, I could listen to your stories for hours and hours.

‘Thank you for your unmeasured talent, your unwavering love for performing, your strength, resilience and your grace.
‘There is absolutely nothing that could dim the light you cast. I admire you so much and am so grateful for the bond we share.’
The Euphoria actress added that Ronnie was ‘a magical force of greatness and the world of music will never be the same.;
She concluded: ‘I wish everyone got to experience you the way I did. We celebrate your beautiful life and give you all the flowers you so rightfully deserve. Rest in great power Ronnie. I hope I make you proud.’
