A Melbourne socialite has lashed out over rumours about why she recently had nose surgery.
Former My Kitchen Rules star Zana Pali, who lives in Bec Judd’s ritzy suburb of Brighton, took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday to hit back at claims that recent surgery on her nose to fix a deviated septum was purely cosmetic.
In one photo she shared, Pali displayed her clearly deviated septum while explaining how scared she was to have the corrective surgery.
‘So this was my lovely deviated septum,’ she captioned the image.
‘My doctor kept telling me I needed to have surgery to get it fixed, however, I’m way too scared to do anything medical.
‘Fml. I got to a point where breathing was so bad at night…so i said fine, I’ll fix it.’
Pali continued: ‘Surgery went well, however longer than expected as it was so broken internally. Whoops. Soccer days was Zana with zero fear…copped a few elbows and heads to the face.’
She then shared a second confronting image of herself post-surgery that showed her complete with a bandage and a bloodied nose.

‘This beautiful guys,’ she captioned the image. ‘Fml I think I preferred my broken nose. Couldn’t breathe when I slept but that’s okay.’
She then shared a screenshot showing a short exchange with a follower in the replies who cruelly stated: ‘Haha. Just admit you’re getting a nose job. It isn’t a big deal.’
Pali shot back with: ‘Why would I get a nose job when my nose is great? Are you normal?’ to which the troll bravely replied: ‘Your nose is a bit wide and could be slimmer down.’
Captioning the exchange, Pali pulled no punches: ‘People like this. Truly f**k off. Don’t have issues saying a nose job if I wanted a nose job.’

‘Putting down another woman’s appearance. Not ok. Sick of women putting other women down,’ she added.
A fourth image showed Pali recuperating in her hospital bed holding an order of hot chips.
‘Deviated septum. Was told my nose was dislocated and “smashed to smithereens”,’ she said.
‘All good now begins the recovery process thanks for all the beautiful messages from you all.’
Pali, a lawyer, appeared on the 2016 iteration of My Kitchen Rules with husband Gianni Romano.
The couple’s gorgeous Brighton mansion recently hit the market for a second time in just six months.

Pali and Romano first listed the six-bedroom, five-bathroom spread in January with an eye-watering $11million — $12million price guide.
After the resort-style pad languished on the market for more than three months the couple withdrew the listing.
It was reported the pair have now put the property under the hammer once more with a price guide of $9.5million and $10.395million — a $1million reduction.
