Shazam! star Zachary Levi and his girlfriend Maggie Keating have announced the arrival of their first child together.

The couple are now parents to a son named Henson Ezra Levi Pugh.

Levi, 44, and Keating shared a photo of their newborn child along with details of his birth.

‘Henson Ezra Levi Pugh,’ the Instagram post caption read. ‘Born into our world on 04/02/25. Thank you for everyone’s continued love and prayers over the three of us. We can’t wait for you to meet our little man!’

In the adorable photo, baby Henson wore a white onesie that read ‘Best thing to come out of 2023’ as his parents cooed over him.

The joyous addition comes several months after Levi made headlines after controversially endorsing then-candidate Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.

Alongside a photo of them cuddling on the beach and a sonogram of their unborn baby, whom he called their ‘little bambino,’ he wrote an emotional, lengthy caption about being a soon-to-be father for the first time.

He revealed that they planned to wait until the birth to find out their baby’s gender and asked for ‘original, but not too original’ name suggestions.

‘I’ve wanted to be a dad since I was literally a kid,’ shared the Shazam! star.

‘I’ve always felt that call on my life,’ he continued. ‘This desire in my heart. A strange feeling of incompleteness by not having that level of love and responsibility in my journey.’

He said that he always believed ‘the best years’ of his life would be when he ‘finally’ became a father.

‘But deep down I knew that there were things in my life that needed to shift before I was ready for the blessing of something so special and the responsibilities that come with it,’ he shared.

Levi said that he started to make attempts to change his life for the better the prior year, and that’s when he met Keating.

Zachary’s new addition comes less than a year after he endorsed Trump for president.

The actor – who criticized the president back in 2020 – stated he planned on voting for him back in September, while hosting Team Trump’s Reclaim America Tour.

In a recent interview on The Megyn Kelly Show, Levi, who first slung his support for then-presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., said he ‘felt peace’ when coming forward with his support despite the possible consequences in his acting career.

Woke Snow White scandal kills off hopes of another princess live action movie

Another live-action adaptation of a princess film has suffered a setback in the aftermath of the controversial Snow White remake.

The making of a live-action version of Tangled has been placed on hiatus, according to The Hollywood Reporter, citing studio insiders.

The 2010 film of which the new version is based on, Tangled featured the voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi and told the story of Rapunzel but with a comedic twist.

The live-action Disney film had been in active development and had Michael Gracey attached to direct along with a script written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.

News of the reported hiatus comes after the live-action remake of Snow White suffered at the box office and and faced criticism of being ‘woke.’

Additionally, THR notes that several individuals behind Disney’s recent push for live-action remakes had stepped away from their executive roles.

The new Snow White film has faced numerous controversies, from criticism of it being 'woke' to comments made by star Rachel Zegler

The new Snow White film has faced numerous controversies, from criticism of it being ‘woke’ to comments made by star Rachel Zegler

Star Rachel Zegler, 23, has taken the brunt of the blame for the film underperforming its massive budget – grossing just $69million domestically – and becoming one of the least liked films of all time on film review sites.

She’s also been dinged for her political opinions and was harshly criticized by the son of the producer of the movie for tweeting ‘free Palestine.’

The $270million film, which hit theaters on March 21, is on track to become a box office flip after it garnered just $42.2 million domestically on opening weekend.

As of this week, Snow White — who also stars Gal Gadot — has currently taken in $69,835.869 million at the box office domestically after two weekends and $145,660,560 million worldwide.

The live-action rendition of the original 1937 animated classic hasn’t been a hit with critics either, with just a 40% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Deadline recently claimed that Disney will likely suffer a loss of $115 million from the film, when all is said and done.

Zegler has sparked backlash with a series of controversial tweets in recent months in addition to previous statements in which she described the original 1937 film as ‘weird’ and the original prince as a ‘stalker.’

‘The original cartoon came out in 1937 and very evidently so. There’s a big focus on her love story with the guy who literally stalks her. Weird, weird,’ she told Extra in 2022.

The original Tangled featured the voices of Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi

‘So we didn’t do that this time,’ she said.

In August, she took to X, formerly known as Twitter, with a post that had initially thanked fans for their support over Snow White.

She wrote: ‘I love you all so much! Thank you for the love and for 120m views on our trailer in just 24 hours! What a whirlwind. I am in the thick of rehearsals for Romeo + Juliet so I’m gonna get outta here. Bye for now.’

But, just one minute later, she showed her support for Palestine amid the war in Gaza in the same thread, adding: ‘And always remember, free Palestine.’

A Variety article detailed how, in light of this, an executive raised the studio’s concerns about the post with Zegler’s team, and Marc Platt, the film’s producer, flew to New York to speak with the actress, who refused to take the post down.

He also suggested she work with a social media expert after she also posted ‘F**k Donald Trump’ and ‘May Trump supporters… never know peace’ following the 2024 presidential election.

The New York Times recently reported that Platt had to remind her how much was at stake with the movie and her career before asking her to ‘post heedfully.’

One insider told Variety: ‘She didn’t understand the repercussions of her actions as far as what that meant for the film, for Gal, for anyone.’

Zegler also drew the anger of Marc’s son Jonah Platt, who unleashed an explosive tirade against her after a social media user slammed his father for reprimanding Zegler over her social media posts.

Jonah, whose younger brother Ben Platt, 31, is an actor and singer, shot back with an angry rant which began: ‘You really want to do this?’

‘Yeah, my dad, the producer of the enormous piece of Disney IP with hundreds of millions of dollars on the line, had to leave his family to fly across the country to reprimand his 20-year-old employee for dragging her personal politics into the middle of promoting the movie for which she signed a multi-million dollar contract to get paid and do publicly for.’

The host of the Being Jewish Podcast continued, saying her actions ‘clearly’ hurt the film’s box office.

‘Free speech does not mean you’re allowed to say whatever you want in your private employment without repercussions,’ he continued.

‘Tens of thousands of people worked on that film and she hijacked the conversation for her own immature desires at the risk of the colleagues and crew and blue collar workers who depend on that movie to be successful.’

‘Narcissism is not something to be coddled or encouraged,’ Jonah concluded his explosive rant.

Jonah has since been slammed for his response online by many users who then commented on the heated exchange.

The film was also plagued with other controversies outside of Zegler’s comments, amid accusations of a ‘woke’ clean-up job to remove dated cultural references and stereotypes.

Dwarf actors including Peter Dinklage and Jason Acuna – better known as ‘Wee Man’ in MTV prank series Jackass – criticized the decision not to hire actors with dwarfism to play Doc, Bashful, Dopey, Grumpy, Sneezy, Happy and Sleepy.

Disney fans demand Sabrina Carpenter take on lead role in latest live-action remake of beloved film

Disney fans have demanded that Sabrina Carpenter take on the leading role in the upcoming live-action remake of a beloved film that released 14 years earlier.

On Wednesday, Variety reported that Disney is set to make a live-action film based on Tangled (2010).

Michael Gracey – who has helmed past projects such as The Greatest Showman – is in talks to direct the movie from a script written by Jennifer Kaytin.

Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi notably voiced the characters of Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, respectively, in the original animation – which became a box office success.

Not long after it was announced that the major studio will be turning Tangled into a live-action feature, social media users jumped to X to share their thoughts, while others offered their opinions on who should play Rapunzel.

Fans shared they felt Carpenter, 25 – who recently split from Barry Keoghan – would be an ideal casting choice.

Along with Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi, other voice stars that appeared in the animated movie included Donna Murphy.

The film showcased a number of songs, such as I See The Light, I’ve Got A Dream and also When Will My Life Begin?

A series called Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventures also premiered in 2017. However, a main sequel to the 2010 movie was never released in theaters.

Mandy Moore also suggested in the past that Carpenter could be a contender to play Rapunzel if Tangled was ever turned into a live-action film.

During an interview with Elite Daily, the This Is Us actress said of Sabrina, ‘I could see her with 50 feet of hair or something. She looks like a Disney princess in real life.’

The star then pitched a role for herself and told the outlet, ‘Maybe I could be Rapunzel’s mom.’

‘Let’s have a real mother-daughter duet, and have someone write an original song so we can talk about our differences and how hard it is to be a young person in this world.’

Earlier this year in July, Zachary Levi offered his own thoughts on who should play Flynn Rider when rumors of a Tangled live-action movie were circulating.

Levi told Entertainment Tonight, ‘I mean, he’s already getting every other job but probably Timothee Chalamet?’

‘Unfortunately I feel like I’m a little old – and that I don’t know all of the younger actors that could be that guy.’

‘I think it would be fun if Mandy and I got to be Rapunzel’s parents. I think that would be a really fun little cameo for us to pop in to,’ Levi told the outlet.

Zachary Levi was widely slammed after linking the COVID-19 vaccine to the recent death of Gavin Creel at 48, with fellow actor Norbert Leo Butz saying he was ‘utterly heartbroken’ by the move.

The 44-year-old actor posted a controversial one-hour rant Sunday on his Instagram, saying he believed that Creel – his one-time costar in the Broadway revival of She Loves Me who died September 30 following a battle with cancer – ‘would be alive right now’ had he not gotten vaccinated.

Butz, 57, left a comment condemning the Shazam! star for mentioning Creel in his politically-charged statement, after Levi endorsed Republican Donald Trump over Democrat Kamala Harris ahead of the forthcoming presidential election.

‘So incredibly disappointed you would politicize Gavin’s death,’ the Tony winner said. ‘Really tried to give you the benefit here. Made it halfway through, which was hard as hell.

‘But was utterly heartbroken, as he would have been, that you felt the need to use his life and legacy to promote this awful platform.’

‘You better believe that, with everything in me, I believe that if these COVID vaccinations were not forced on the American public, that the theaters weren’t being pushed and leveraged.’

He added, ‘They knew that there would be plenty of side effects, including turbo cancers – they knew. ‘And I, without a shadow of a doubt, I believe that Gavin Creel would be alive right now – right f***ing now – he would still be alive if that stuff didn’t get put into his body.’

Another said, ‘Not even a Trump fan, (I’m DEFINITELY not a Kamala fan) but I absolutely give you respect for coming out in Hollywood and going against the tide!!! Been a fan since Chuck.’

Said another user, ‘I am so proud that you are using your platform to go against Hollywood. Thank you for standing up for what is right. Sorry for the loss of your friend.’

Shazam! Star Urges Conservatives in Hollywood to Speak Out for Trump

Shazam! star Zachary Levi has urged fellow celebrities in Hollywood who are voting for Donald Trump in the US presidential election to publicly speak out in regard to their support for the Republicans.

In an Instagram Live video last Sunday, the 44-year-old stressed that there’s a lot that he doesn’t like about Trump, 78, but following the end of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s campaign, he’s turned his support to the former President.

Speaking passionately from what appeared to be a hotel room, Levi said: ‘My cry to all of you out there, you closeted conservatives, closeted Trump voters, y’all, it’s now or never, you know what I mean?

‘Do whatever you feel like you need to do. If you need to come out publicly and say it, if you feel like you still can’t, then don’t.

‘I would never pressure you to do that, but know that if what you’re afraid of is somehow the backlash of an industry that’s not going to exist very soon, then don’t let that hold you back,’ the Chuck star added.

Earlier on in the video, Levi said: ‘I have been very vocal about my dislike for [Trump]. He gets lost in his ego so quickly, I f**king despise it!’ before later saying: ‘He puts his f**king foot in his mouth all the time and I hate it!’

However, Levi stressed that it’s not enough for him to vote Democrat because there is ‘massive corruption’ in the current government.

‘It’s sh**ty that we only have two to choose from right now, but that’s all we have,’ he continued before claiming Kamala Harris is ‘only going to be puppeted’ if she wins the election on November 5.

When Levi first endorsed Trump publicly last month and described Hollywood as a ‘very very liberal town,’ Whoopi Goldberg spoke out live on an episode of The View and disagreed with his statement and claimed ‘it’s always been a very right-leaning town.’

Levi clapped back to this during his Instagram Live and pointed out that Goldberg, 68, was only able to name actors Jon Voight and Dennis Quaid as examples out of the thousands working in Hollywood today.

He also added actors like them seem to only come out as Republican when ‘at a certain level of your career to get away with it.’

‘And what that means is there’s plenty – and by the way, they have sent me lots of messages – plenty of people in my industry in Hollywood that are terrified to publicly say that they would vote for Donald Trump or be conservative in any way,’ he went on to say.

‘That’s why you don’t see them. That’s why they’re not very prevalent or prominent because they know that there’s ramifications for this kind of s**t.’

On September 28, Levi hosted ‘Team Trump’s Reclaim America Tour’ where he confirmed that he will be voting for Trump.

After his first pick, RFK Jr. dropped out of the race, Levi said that with the two options left, Trump ‘is the man that can get us there.’

‘This year, I found Bobby Kennedy,  and I thought, man this guy, this guy’s it,’ the Tangled star said.

‘And in a perfect world, whatever that would look like, perhaps I would have voted for Bobby, but we don’t live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken one.’

He continued: ‘We live in a country that has been hijacked by a lot of people who want to take this place way off the cliff. And we’re here to stop that, right?’

The crowd started cheering for the Hollywood star as he used Trump’s coined phrase: ‘We are going to make America great again!’

The logline for the film reads: ‘Inside of his book, adventurous Harold can make anything come to life simply by drawing it.

‘After he grows up and draws himself off the book’s pages and into the physical world, Harold finds he has a lot to learn about real life.’

Zooey plays Harold’s co-worker Terry and the ensemble cast also includes Lil Rel Howery as Moose, Benjamin Bottani as Mel, Jemaine Clement as Gary, and Tanya Reynolds as Porcupine.

Alfred Molina lends his voice as the Narrator of the fantasy-adventure.

The movie was directed by Carlos Saldanha, who previously helmed the Ice Age movies as well as Rio and Ferdinand.

The film has been in development since 1992. Back then Henry Selick was attached to direct, but he left the Harold project in favor of directing James and the Giant Peach.

Spike Jonze was then brought in to help a hybrid live action – animation version of the film that stalled when he left the project two weeks before filming was scheduled to begin.

The current iteration of the project has been in development at Sony since 2010.

Zooey got engaged to her longtime boyfriend, HGTV star Jonathan Scott last year.

He popped the question while on vacation in Scotland and got Zooey’s two kids, Elsie, nine, and Charlie, seven, whom she shares with ex-husband film producer Jacob Pechenik, involved.
