Yungblud has candidly opened up about his sexuality in a powerful admission for Attitude Magazine’s July/ August Pride edition.

The singer, 27, who came out as pansexual in 2020, admitted he feels a lot more confident to discuss his sexuality after years of feeling ‘insecure’ about it.

Yungblud said: ‘I am the pan man — I’m the f****** saucepan… Because it’s the [label] that allows me to be who I am; it’s the one with the most room for manoeuvre.

‘Do you know what I’m saying? I do feel like I am less insecure about it.’

Pansexuality is the romantic, emotional and/or sexual to people regardless of their gender.

He also reflected on his body image in the emotional interview, admitting ‘he’s liking looking like a boy for the first time in a long time’.

The musician said: ‘I’ve got this really forward, masculine, sexual aggression that I need to get out, and I can either do that by shagging and partying, or by taking a more centered route.

‘I wasn’t happy with my body; I didn’t feel sexy… At the beginning of my career, I had the kind of confidence where you don’t think about the way you look.

‘I’d walk into the dressing room and be like, ‘What am I gonna wear tonight? Can I borrow your skirt, or your f****** leather pants,’ or whatever the fuck was there.’ …

‘Some days I’m still gonna walk out the house with lippy on, but I know for this period in my life, I’m liking looking like a boy for the first time in a long time.’

Yungblud admitted in May that he finally found ‘the love of his life’ in Cher’s god-daughter – despite breaking off their relationship following a period of intense ‘insecurity.’

The British rocker, real name Dominic Harrison, had finally settled into a long-term relationship with Los Angeles-based singer and fashion designer Jesse Jo Stark after a string of failed romances, among them a short-lived fling with Halsey.

Last month, Yungblud released a music video for Zombie which starred award-winning actress Florence Pugh.

The music video for Zombie, directed by Charlie Sarsfield and produced by Untold Studios, went live at 4pm.

Zombie is the third single from Yungblud’s forthcoming album, Idols which released on June 20.

Idols is the first part of a double album, with the release date of part two yet to be announced.

Speaking about the track, said: ‘The song was written initially about my grandmother going through serious injury and trauma, leading her to become a different person to who she was before.

‘It’s about the feeling of deterioration and ugliness; shutting out the world and the people we love out of the fear of becoming a burden or an embarrassment.

‘We all want someone or something to comfort us no matter how we are right now or who we become in the future. But it’s f***ing scary.’

The song’s video matches its message, with Florence portraying a healthcare worker at her emotional brink, overwhelmed by grief and exhaustion.
