Yungblud Crowned ‘Most Rock and Roll’ Act Despite Fan Complaints

Yungblud has been hailed the ‘most rock and roll’ act in years after being seen smoking before kissing a fan and handing her his cigarette while shirtless.

The singer, 28, whose real name is Dominic Richard Harrison, sparked concern last month at the AMAs when he flashed his armpits and pulled faces while joining Steven Tyler and Joe Perry for snaps.

In a continuation of his wild displays, a clip of Yungblud went viral this week in which he was seen approaching a fan in the front row at his show.

While shirtless, the star was seen taking a drag of his cigarette before leaning in to kiss a fan on the cheek and handing it to her.

The moment caused a stir online, with people saying he was ‘so cool’ and could easily be one of the biggest rockstars in the world.

However they all said they had the same issue with Yungblud, that they didn’t like his music.

They wrote: ‘Everything i see about this guy is like. Hes the greatest studier of what actually makes rockstars. its unfortunate about the .. you know… music part,’;

‘I don’t know who this is but it’s the most rock n roll thing I’ve seen in 30 years,’;

‘Love this guy so much, he could easily be the biggest rockstar in the world if his music wasn’t borderline unlistenable,’;

‘I love everything he has going on except his dreadful music. he needs to fix this,’;

‘He is so cool I wish his music was good.’

Yungblud and Jack Osbourne recently hit back at ‘bitter and jealous’ critics over the rock star’s tribute performance for Ozzy.

He had a very strong relationship with Ozzy after meeting him in 2022, and it appeared that their relationship grew into an almost father-son type bond.

Ozzy tragically passed away aged 76 on July 22, and Yungblud reportedly gave a moving reading at his funeral.

He also performed at the metal icon’s farewell concert at Birmingham’s Villa Park in June amid his declining health.

During the MTV Video Music Awards last month, Yungblud joined forces with Extreme’s Nuno Bettencourt and Aerosmith’s Steven Tyler and Joe Perry to honour the late Black Sabbath legend.

However, the performance did not go down well with everyone, with The Darkness guitarist Dan Hawkins saying: ‘Another nail in the coffin of rock n roll.’

His brother Justin added: ‘Yungblud seems to have positioned himself as a natural heir to the Ozzy legacy, having nothing to do with the really important stuff.’

Now, Yungblud and the son of the rock legend have clapped back on the latest episode Jack’s podcast, Trying Not To Die, on Tuesday.

Defending his intentions for the performance, Yungblud said: ‘I think the strangest thing about that was all I was trying to do was my best for your old man, because he gave me such a gift.’

He continued: ‘When people try and intellectualise a sense of spirit and six musicians on a stage going “f****** love you man”, it’s just bitter and jealous.

‘They are doing the things they say we are doing – they’re trying to insert themselves into a conversation to obtain some kind of relevancy, on the back of us honouring one of the greatest rock stars that ever lived – and then they talk about authenticity and stuff like that.’

Holding back tears, Jack explained how ‘these people didn’t f****** know’ how involved Dom was in Ozzy’s life.

Jack continued: ‘They don’t know the f****** story of it, the things we know, and I was kind of like, “F*** you dude”.

‘Dom meant something to my dad, my dad meant something to Dom. I texted you the night of the gig and I said, “F****** crush it”.’

Yungblud called out The Darkness, claiming that anyone slamming the tribute weren’t ‘real rock stars’.

He said: ‘Anyone bigger than you or more emotionally evolved will never talk down on you.

‘Your dad [Ozzy] would never do that, [Metallica’s] James Hetfield would never do that, Kerry King would never do that. [They] don’t need to. They’re just like, ‘You know what? That’s sick.’

‘People forget that rock is dictated by the people. The people are what make something rock and roll.

‘And as far as I’m concerned, the people f****** loved it, and we got to put your dad’s face in front of another 100 million people that night and keep that legacy alive.’
