Former Big Brother star Chad Hurst is set to appear in court to dispute a disabled parking fine.
The 31-year-old will appear in Sydney’s Downing Centre Court on September 23 after being charged with stopping in a disabled parking area with no valid permit displayed, The Daily Telegraph reported.
Chad, who took out top honours in the 2020 series of Big Brother, told the publication that the alleged violation took place in Sydney’s lower North Shore on the street where he lives.
He also revealed that it’s not the first time he has been charged with the offence after fighting and winning the same charge over 12 months ago.
Chad said that recent development in the area had altered the parking space allocation on the street, leading to confusion as to where he can park his car.
‘Due to high rise apartment blocks being built in my street over the past couple of years, the council has moved and changed the signs,’ Chad said.
He added that he was booked for the same offence recently, with the incident occurring out the front of his house.
‘This happened to me about a year before as well, right in front of my place,’ he said.

Speaking about his new venture, he told Daily Mail Australia at the time: ‘Lifting weights with my mates back in school got me hooked onto fitness. That love saw me becoming a certified trainer in 2011.’
He continued, ‘A good mate introduced me to Air Locker, and after delving into the brand Sam and I were bowled over. The fierce passion behind the brand just sealed the deal.’
He previously worked as a personal trainer at celebrity hotspot ACERO before deciding it was time to live out his dreams and run his own business.
Chad, who is signed to modelling agency IMG, previously expressed his gratitude for the opportunities that come from modelling in an interview with Daily Mail Australia.
‘Life in the fashion world for me has always been a great ride. The opportunities and adventures it has given me, I’ll always be grateful,’ he said.
Chad admitted while he misses walking the catwalk, he had a good time sitting back and watching the shows at Fashion Week back in 2021.
‘It’s good to see the up and coming models in Australia make their appearance on the runway. That’s what it’s all about,’ he said.
