Ahead of his debut as I’m A Celebrity Australia co-host, Robert laughed off any speculation that he might be the next Bachelor on screens.
He told Yahoo! Lifestyle: ‘Would I consider doing The Bachelor?!’ before bursting into laughter.
His I’m A Celebrity co-host Julia Morris, 55, jumped in, quipping: ‘If you be the Bachelor, I’m going to go on as a Bachelorette, like some weird old creepy nightmare!’

Confirming she was only joking, she was quick to add: ‘We can’t go on a date!’
Robert confirmed his split from girlfriend Rorie last month with a joint statement shared to Instagram.
The statement read: ‘We wanted to share that we have decided to go our separate ways but profoundly appreciate all the time spent together and wish one another all the very best into the future.
‘We wish to express the gratitude and respect we have for one another as we continue our journeys on different paths.
‘We won’t be commenting further on this, and really appreciate your respect and privacy at this time.’
Finding huge success in his career, he is now gearing up for his I’m A Celebrity debut later this month as he will join longtime host Julia helming the 10th series.

Of nabbing the job, Robert gushed that he was ‘honoured’ to be hosting alongside Julie and described it as a ‘full circle’ moment.
He also told how he decided to accept the job to continue the legacy of his famous father Steve Irwin, who tragically passed away when Robert was just three years old.
‘I love that I have a real purpose and a legacy that I get to continue from my family, and my dad particularly, and I get to create my own – of wildlife conservation, of fun, of passion and positivity,’ he said.
‘And no show does it better than I’m A Celebrity when it comes to just fun, family, positive, let’s give it a go. Plus, every contestant’s working for a charity.’
Robert beat out big names Sam Pang, Jimmy Rees, Curtis Stone, Beau Ryan and Tristan MacManus for the hosting role.
He recently revealed how he asked for changes to be made to the show’s famous eating challenge because of his conservationist background.

‘The one thing that I was like ‘mmm I got to change this’, was eating the African wildlife… I’m a conservationist at heart,’ he said on KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show.
‘They have changed it so we’re just doing the cow, and the chicken, and the fish, and the cockroach… but it’s cool cause we really get to bring this to a whole new level.’
Robert went on to reveal that Australia Zoo ‘does a lot of conservation work in Africa’ and thought that the new season was an opportunity to ‘celebrate’ the wildlife.
The celebrity line-up for the 2024 series of I’m A Celebrity Australia, set to launch on March 24, is yet to be revealed, but fans have been already speculating about who may enter the jungle.
