Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez tied the knot last week during an extravagant $20 million Venetian wedding attended by a slew of stars… but one A-lister was notably absent: Lady Gaga.
Ahead of the Amazon founder and former journalist’s three-day nuptials, it was heavily rumored that the singer, 39, was due to perform at the lavish affair.
But in the end it wasn’t to be – in fact, there was no live performances during the celebrations – leaving many to wonder what had happened.
Then, reports began to emerge claiming Gaga had asked for too steep a price to play at the wedding – a whopping $6 million – and that Bezos had refused cough up.
But now, a source has told the Daily Mail that there was no clash over money and that Gaga’s absence at the nuptials had nothing at all to do with how much she wanted to be paid.
In fact, the source says no serious offer was ever made and had Bezos, 61, and Sanchez, 55, wanted her there, a deal would have certainly been made.

‘Never has there been a moment where [Gaga] had a real deal to perform at Jeff Bezos’s wedding,’ the source said.
‘Gaga gets offers every second and she would have considered Jeff’s wedding, but nothing was ever realistic and offered. Any monetary option never got to the point of being serious.’
The insider added that the billionaire couple had ‘endless options’ and ‘ideas’ for their wedding and simply opted to go in a different direction.
‘A deal would have been made if it was serious. However, a serious deal was never considered, so there shouldn’t be any Gaga controversy when it comes to their wedding,’ they continued.
‘It all turned out the way they wanted it.’
The Daily Mail has reached out to Gaga and Bezos’s representatives for comment.

A wedding guest allegedly told them that guests were expecting Gaga to perform and were surprised when she didn’t.
Instead, DJ Cassidy provided beats for the wedding reception.
‘The vibe was still luxe,’ an attendee told Shuter. ‘But everyone was waiting for Gaga to emerge from a gondola.’
Bezos and Sanchez wed on Friday on San Giorgio Maggiore island in Venice, Italy, in front of a dazzling array of star-studded guests.
Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kendall Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Ivanka Trump, Orlando Bloom, Leonardo DiCaprio, Gayle King, and Oprah were amongst the A-listers in attendance.
The celebrations spanned across three-days and included multiple dazzling celebrations in various famed locations in the Italian city.

Sanchez opted for a glamorous Dolce & Gabbana dress when she walked down the aisle.
It contained lacy, floral sleeves, a tight bodice, high neckline, long flowing skirt with an enormous train, and buttons down the front.
Bezos, for his part, kept it simple in a classy, black tuxedo.
