Bluey fans across the world have been tuning into the series three finale and sharing their emotional reactions.
The children’s show debuted its first 28 minute long episode, titled The Sign, on Sunday, to mark the end of season three, before it takes an extended break.
24 hours after the show landed on Disney + in the UK, it was trending on social media with parents admitting they cried more than their children at the emotional ending and some blink-and-you’ll-miss-it details.
Fans were left in shock last week, when the family put their fictional home up for sale in the series three penultimate episode Ghost Basket, with many worried it signalled the end of the cartoon.
And The Sign, which had been billed as the episode set to ‘change the popular Heeler family forever’, had viewers in tears as it was revealed Bluey, her little sister Bingo and their parents Bandit and Chilli were moving away after Bandit landed a new job.

The episode focused on the family’s last days at their Brisbane house as they hosted the wedding of Bandit’s brother Rad and Bluey’s ‘fairy godmother’ Frisky.
But the wedding didn’t go off without a hitch as Chilli, Bluey, Bingo and their cousins had to search for an upset Frisky who was having second thoughts.
The emotional punch came at the close of the episode as Chilli broke the news to Bingo that selling their home meant they had to leave.
Their empty rooms were shown before the twist was revealed – their buyers had pulled out of the sale and Bandit had made the decision the family should stay put.
Parents admitted they were in tears at the relatable message about choosing what’s best for your family, with one tweeting: ‘This was such a beautiful episode. The end had me sobbing. Absolutely brilliant. The message and the way it all played out….just perfect.’
Other emotional fans posted: ‘why am i crying over a children’s show’; ‘We just watched the most current episode of Bluey. It came out today, and my daughter has been so excited. All 3 of us were left crying. It’s a children’s cartoon, and we’re emotional.’; ‘Just finished it and holy moly, best Bluey episode ever. I’m in tears right now. This episode was honestly TOO relatable’; ‘My 7yr old son and 13yr old daughter asked me to wake them up at 5am to watch #BlueyTheSign together before I went to the airport to head to a conference. So I did and I sat there with them snuggled up with me and watched it and wow all the emotions caused by a friggin cartoon;’ ‘Made my grown ass cry, the kids dont understand’.
Other hidden details or Easter Eggs left viewers in tears, especially when a brief scene saw Chilli’s sister Brandy with a baby bump.
In previous episode Onesies, the series tackled the subject of infertility when it was revealed that Brandy wasn’t able to have a baby of her own and therefore had distanced herself from her sister’s family.
But The Sign saw a pregnant Brandy being happily greeted by Chilli at the wedding.

‘I openly sobbed during #BlueyTheSign,’ one fan tweeted. ‘Brandy is pregnant. All the heartache, all those negative tests, every single tear she shed, her storm passed, and the rainbow came. As someone who walked Brandy’s path, I could jump for joy for her. Whew, what a journey.’
Other Easter Eggs included the return of Greeny, Blue’s green balloon which floated away at the end of the episode Mum School and Nana Heeler and Grandpa Bob, aka Bobba, flossing at the wedding after Bluey taught them the move in Grannies.
The show about the Australian animated family, which airs on BBC and Disney+ in the UK, sparked cancellation fears last week when the storyline revealed their 15 to 20 room Brisbane home was on the market for 6m Australian dollars (£3m).
Flooding Twitter, parents voiced their worries over what the storyline means for the show’s future – with threats to ‘riot’ if the heartwarming programme concludes.

Bluey creator Joe Brumm told Australia’s Daily Telegraph that the rambling heritage house situated in trendy Paddington, in Brisbane features a wraparound veranda and ’15 to 20 rooms’ and has been spotted on real life estate agent websites.
Swarming social media, enraged fans penned: ‘Bluey’s house is for sale. It appears the worst might be happening. If Bluey ends we riot… I saw Bluey [and] at the end I was literally crying because Bluey sold her house!! But why? Is the show over?’
News of the house’s sale soon spread after the episode Ghost Basket showed the final scene depicting a For Sale sign outside the lavish home.
Additionally, the animated house was also listed on an Australian real estate site, Domain, which describes the home as ‘a quaint, animated family home nestled in an undisclosed Brisbane location, that could be in Red Hill or The Gap (we’ll never tell)…
‘With mid-century design aesthetics offset by whimsical touches. The quintessential Queenslander, radiating heritage charm, complete with upwards of 100 hidden small long dogs to be found.’
