AFL bad boy Bailey Smith appears to have called time on his short-lived fling with Tammy Hembrow – and is already back on the prowl.
The Western Bulldogs midfielder, 23, enjoyed a handful of dates with Tammy, 31, but friends say he ultimately pulled the pin after hearing stories about her past relationship with ex-husband Matt Zuowski.
‘A few of Matt’s mates got in Bailey’s ear and told him what had really gone down,’ one insider told Daily Mail Australia.
‘It didn’t paint Tammy in the best light. Bailey appreciated the heads-up and it definitely made him rethink whether this was a good idea.’
Matt and Tammy were married for just seven months before their split.
Weeks after announcing the breakup, Tammy was spotted getting cosy with Bailey on the Gold Coast.

Although sparks initially flew, sources say Smith quickly cooled on the relationship.
‘He was open to seeing where things could go, but in the end he called time,’ another insider said.
Adding fuel to the whispers, Bailey has reportedly been in touch with several former flames, making it clear he’s single again.
‘He’s let a couple of girls know the Tammy chapter is over,’ a source dished. ‘He’s dodged a bullet and he knows it.’
The footy pin-up, who boasts a legion of fans thanks to his trademark mullet and chiselled looks, is said to already be knee-deep in DMs with two women, aged 21 and 22.
‘He’s back on the prowl for women his own age with less baggage,’ the insider added.
While Tammy has yet to comment, those close to Smith say he’s happy to keep things casual for now.
It comes after Bailey confirmed things had fizzled with Tammy when he failed to bring her as his date to the Brownlow Medal count on Monday.

The awards night took place just hours after Bailey broke his silence on his romance with the Gold Coast content creator during an interview with KIIS FM’s Kyle & Jackie O Show.
He confirmed the pair were ‘just friends’ and revealed Tammy wouldn’t be accompanying him to the Brownlow Medal count, despite weeks of speculation.
‘What’s going on [with you and Tammy]? Are you taking Tammy tonight or not?’ host Kyle Sandilands asked.
Bailey responded: ‘No, I’m not. No. I didn’t want to bore her with footy all night. She’s not a big footy fan. And we’re just mates.’
‘So, you guys aren’t exclusive or boyfriend and girlfriend?’ co-host Jackie Henderson questioned.
Bailey confirmed in four simple words: ‘No, we’re just mates.’
On Monday night, Bailey fronted the Brownlow Medal count ceremony solo, after describing Tammy as ‘just a mate’
