A clip of Swift’s guard accompanying her to the restroom from Sunday’s Super Bowl in New Orleans went viral, prompting much online discussion about the price of superstardom and need for constant security.

One fan tweeted, ‘How sad is that? We all love Drew, but the fact he has to stand outside her stall…’ while another said, ‘It makes me so sad that she can’t even go to the bathroom alone.’

Drew has been a reliable presence at Swift’s side for multiple years, and has become a darling of the singer’s vast community of fans known as Swifties.

‘Drew is literally her shadow,’ one social media user said of the guard. ‘I have so much respect for him and nobody dare cross him. 

‘He may look nice but his sole purpose is to make sure nobody unalives her, which is terrifying. It allows her to have a NORMAL life. Bro will take someone DOWN and OUT in the blink of an eye.’

A Twitter account under the handle @christinakeen89 had highlighted many of Drew‘s finest moments working in the employ of the Grammy-winning entertainer.
