Whitney Cummings Engaged: Says ‘Yes’ to Chris Cole’s Baffling Proposal Suggestion

Whitney Cummings is engaged.

The comedienne, 43, revealed she had recently accepted a proposal from boyfriend, pro skateboarder Chris Cole, just six months after going public with their relationship. 

Cummings described the special moment on the latest episode of podcast, Good For You, amusingly revealing her fiancé suggested they celebrate at Pizza Hut.

Interestingly, the mom of one said she was ’embarrassed’ to even discuss the engagement and was simply trying to ‘get it out of the way’ when she brought it up. 

‘I got engaged last week,’ she began. ‘And I don’t know how to tell anyone!’

‘I’m embarrassed to even talk about it and I’m just trying to get it out of the way,’ she said. 

Cummings described the awkwardness that came immediately after their proposal, and odd restaurant her fiance suggested they head to to celebrate the milestone – Pizza Hut. 

‘It’s so awkward, you’re kind of just like, “Okay cool, now what?” I was like, “Should we just go to dinner or something?” Of course he had no plan afterwards.

‘As soon as he got the ring on, he’s like, “I never have to try and impress you again!” And then I was like, “well should we go get dinner or something?” And he was like, “yeah, yeah, yeah. Should we go to Pizza Hut?”‘

She ended the anecdote by silent staring at the camera, her expression seemingly communicating her shock and disappointment over his suggestion.

‘Did you guys go to pizza hut?’ her co-host asked her. 

‘I haven’t spoken to him since,’ she said in jest.  

Cole popped the question during Cumming’s daily hike behind her home in Topanga Canyon last month, TMZ reports. 

He proposed with a stunning sparkler from Nikki Reed’s jewelry line, Bayou, which Cummings happily flashed in sweet post-proposal snaps. 

Cummings revealed their relationship back in May, the outlet adds. 

Cummings was previously engaged to engaged to advertising executive, Miles Skinner, but they called off their engagement in 2020 after two years together.

Two years ago Cummings became a mother, giving birth to a baby boy named Henry.

‘3-D printed a human. Enjoy me never having brushed hair again,’ she captioned her very first snap of the child.

She has not revealed the identity of her child’s father but has been updating fans on her life as a new mom with fans. 

‘I am excited to be here now because I feel like I am out of the woods in the postpartum depression thing,’ the stand-up comedian said on TODAY with Jenna & Friends. 

‘Before you have a kid, you are like, “Really? Like, is it supposed to be the happiest time of your life? Why are you depressed? Pick a lane!” When you Google it or go to doctors, they literally say, “We don’t know the cause of postpartum depression.”‘

Whitney said: ‘I am not a doctor. I have a couple of ideas what could have caused it. Could it be the fact you are going bald?

‘Your hairline moves back two inches, your gums start bleeding when you brush your teeth? My ankles fully look like a map of the New York subway.’

‘I named this tour in mom-brain postpartum depression, and I recall nothing why I made the decision,’ she explained.

‘I was in a catatonic stupor and it made me laugh. No matter how big the baby is, it’s huge. I was like, “I am a big baby. Why can’t I walk anymore?”‘
