When it comes to the new queens of the ultra-competitive WAG world, few can rival Annalise Dalins, the long-time partner of Collingwood defender Josh Daicos.

They began dating in 2021, got engaged in 2024 - and now the close-knit Victorian footy scene is eagerly awaiting what is expected to be the AFL wedding of 2026.

Yet while the couple appear blissfully loved-up, there are murmurs of behind-the-scenes drama when it comes to the bride's pursuit of the perfect gown.

The Daily Mail hears that Dalins, a 26-year-old influencer and former Miss Universe Australia finalist, has been touring bridal boutiques in search of a commercial partnership.

Such deals aren't unheard of in the celebrity world. 's wedding was famously a 'Chanel-sponsored' event. Likewise, and Dolce & Gabbana. In both cases, the designer dressed the bride as part of a campaign.

But word is getting around gossipy fashion circles that Dalins, who has 124,000 followers on Instagram, may be going about it the wrong way.

Dalins has previously worked with Melbourne designer Sam Oglialoro for her glamorous event gowns, including this viral 2025 Brownlow dress that inspired a White Fox copycat design

Oglialoro told us that he was originally asked to design the WAG's wedding dress, but said he does not pay people to wear his designs

When insiders first wondered who she might turn to for her custom wedding gown, only one name came to mind: Sam Oglialoro. 

OGLIA-LORO couture gowns have graced the red carpets of the Oscars and . Closer to home, he has dressed stars at the Logies, and is behind some of the most striking Brownlow and 'Glamour on the Grid' dresses in recent years.

Dalins has worked with the Melbourne-based designer on her event gowns, including her viral 2025 Brownlow dress that inspired a White Fox copycat design.

So, many took it as given that Oglialoro would be the man she turned to for her nuptials.

When word spread that she was allegedly shopping for a designer willing to pay her to wear their gown - rather than the other way around - some began to wonder what her former collaborator would make of it all.

Oglialoro gave weight to the whispers when we spoke to him on Wednesday.

He told us that he was originally asked to design the WAG's wedding dress, but said he does not pay people to wear his designs. 

'We thought we were making a gown, but we don't pay people to wear our gowns. That's where I'm going to leave it,' Oglialoro said.
