Viral Video: Disabled Oasis Fan Lifted at Heaton Park Gig

A disabled Oasis fan was lifted into the air so he could see the Gallagher brothers perform on Friday night in a touching display of kindness.

The duo are continuing their reunion tour after making a comeback to the stage, 16 years after their last gig saw them fallout.

As Noel, 58, and Liam, 52, performed at Heaton Park in Manchester, diehard fan Daniel was one of thousands of ravers in the crowd.

Donning his Oasis merchandise, Daniel was at the concert with his sister Jemma, though they did not appear to be in the dedicated disabled area.

However, Jemma took to social media to reveal how a group of men beside them had all lifted Daniel into the air so he could have an unobstructed view of the concert.

The video, posted to TikTok, has already been played over 185,000 times as thousands flocked to comment on the heart-warming scenes.

Alongside the clip, Jemma added: ‘Safe to say someone had an amazing night at @Oasis @HeatonParkView last night!

‘@Liam Gallagher @Noel Gallagher’s HFB. Hoping these lads enjoyed it as much as we did. You made my brothers day, week and year.’

Oasis fans said seeing the clip had left them ‘tearing up’ while some even said it had ‘restored their faith in humanity’.

Jemma also clarified in the comments how she and Daniel did not know the group who lifted Daniel before the concert.

She explained: ‘It was just me and him. at this point I didn’t know who any of them were. Do now and they are incredible.’

In another clip, Jemma had shared how Daniel was unaware he was even going to the sold out gig until earlier in the day.

She could be seen sharing the surprise as she handed him his Oasis t-shirt while he excitedly blurted out ‘holy sh*t’.

Replying to the clips, one Oasis fan said: ‘Standing on the shoulders of giants this has made my day seeing this.’

A second commented: ‘Not me tearing up watching this!! This is what it’s all about.’

‘No way all these men were in your group, this is what concerts are all about. Everyone in the crowd coming together to ensure everyone has equally as an amazing time!! He’ll not forget that moment,’ said a third.

While a fourth penned: ‘I just love how they dedicated the moment, the moment they had all waited for, for so long to giving Daniel the equal opportunity he truly deserved. Oasis doesn’t discriminate. We don’t leave anyone behind. This is OUR moment.’

Meanwhile, ticketless Oasis fans reportedly tried to ‘storm Heaton Park’ on Friday as the band kicked off the first of their five-night stint at the venue.

It has been claimed that the police were forced to intervene as people attempted to gain entry to the sold-out gig, with footage showing metal fence panels on the ground.

Some of those who were unable to get tickets to the event appeared to take matters into their own hands and attempt to jump the fence.

According to Manchester Evening News, an eyewitness claimed that ‘around 50 people’ had tried to ‘rush’ one of the internal entrances to the gig area.

It was thought that 10 people got in, but the publication reported that the rest were ‘apprehended and turned away.’

The shows at Heaton Park – a 600-acre public park in Bury and Manchester – are the only UK shows held outside a stadium, with the others taking place at the Principality Stadium, Wembley and Murrayfield.
