Viola Davis and Meryl Streep were dressed to impress as they attended the Golden Gala: A Celebration of Excellence in Beverly Hills on Friday evening. 

The American actress and film producer, 59, looked incredible as she cut a glamorous figure in a satin pink floor-length gown. 

The ensemble boasted a plunging neckline, stylish cape sleeves, and plisse detailing throughout. 

Viola further accessorised her carpet look with statement drop earrings and a silver diamond bracelet. 

To complete her look, the beauty styled her short locks straight for the evening and wore a flawless palette of makeup. 

Viola was also joined on the carpet by her husband Julius Tennon, 71, who looked incredibly dapper in a black double-breasted blazer with satin lapels and tailored trousers.

The pair appeared more loved-up than ever as they linked arms for several snaps before they were joined by their daughter Genesis, 14, who showed off her sophisticated sense of style as she donned a red dress.

The stylish floaty ensemble boasted a V-neckline and ruffled detailing on the sleeves. 

Meryl further accessorised her look with a gold pendant necklace and gold-toned hoop earrings as she and Viola posed up a storm at the event. 

During the event, Viola and Ted Danson, 77, were celebrated for their career achievements in film and television. 

Viola delivered a moving 16-minute speech while accepting the prestigious Cecil B. DeMille Award. Meanwhile, during the black-tie gala dinner, Ted received the Carol Burnett Award. 

She reflected on how her turbulent upbringing fuelled her passion for acting as an escape and how financial necessity often influenced her choice of roles.
