Vincent Macaigne and Laetitia Casta Steal Cannes Spotlight

French actor Vincent Macaigne carried French model Laetitia Casta along the red carpet at the Karma premiere amid on Friday.

Vincent, 47, swept the stunner, 48, up into his arms as the pair put on an animated display ahead of the glitzy screening.

The actor cut a suave figure in a tailored black suit while Laetitia looked glamorous in a strapless black gown and diamond necklace. 

The pair could not contain their giggles as they larked about together, with Vincent even carrying her up venue's iconic sweeping steps.

The French language movie stars Oscar winner , 50, who was also on the red carpet in a black leather gown. 

The official synopsis reads: 'In a village in northern , Jeanne tries to rebuild her life with Daniel, who knows nothing about her troubled past. One day, Mateo, Jeanne's six-year-old godson, mysteriously disappears'. 

'In order to escape the police who quickly suspect her, Jeanne takes refuge in France in a religious community where she was born and which she fled a few years earlier. Daniel does not believe in the guilt of the woman he loves and will do everything he can to find her before the police do'. 

Elsewhere on the red carpet  showed off a dramatic and bizarre new look.

The Grease icon, 72, was trolled by fans as he donned a beret and sported a freshly-dyed beard to pose with his  daughter , 26, at the Karma screening.

Travolta looked near-unrecognizable as he modelled the cream headgear, accessorizing with a pair of gold spectacles, and showing off a trimmer frame. 

Not content with his bookish new look, Travolta was seen pulling a series of zany poses on the red carpet, flashing the peace sign and dramatically throwing his hands into the air.

The new look was swiftly roasted by fans who declared: 'Who is that?' as they rushed to social media.

Others wrote: 'The hat is fine but what's with the beard? He's in his 70's and his beard is black lmao.'

'Had some cosmetic work. Looks 30 years younger. 

'It’s weird when 70 year old men dye their beards black.'

'It must be so nice to have so much money you can dress like a surrealist painter on the Left Bank of Paris in the 1930s,;

Others praised the star's new look, writing: 'Wow. He looks like a real artist now' and 'Man's still fine with all them wrinkles. Hello pappy.'

Travolta was later seen weeping as he was presented with an honorary Palme d’Or ahead of the world premiere of his directorial debut Propeller One-Way Night Coach, which stars Ella.

He said: 'This is beyond the Oscar. Surprise complétement! I can’t believe this. This is the last thing I expected.
