The Chase viewers were confused after aired a four-year-old repeat episode starring the late on Saturday night, three years after his death. 

Len died in 2023 aged 78 after a short illness with bone . 

The episode, from 2021, saw the Strictly head judge captain a team that included TV presenter Nicki Chapman, , and comedian Joe Pasquale.

During the episode, he faced off against Chaser Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis in his head-to-head round.

Taking to X, viewers called it 'a surreal' episode, while others said they found it 'disgraceful', after an episode featuring , who passed away last year, aired on Friday night. 

They wrote: 'ITV repeating a five year old edition of Celebrity #TheChase. It features the late Len Goodman, surreal yet nice to see him. Always rated Len.'

The Vivienne - whose real name was  - competed alongside comedian Jayde Adams, music producer Naughty Boy, and former football star Tony Cottee in 2023.
