Married At First Sight UK viewers have slammed the show’s relationship experts for pairing Adrienne and Matt together despite their different views on children.
On Wednesday’s episode, Adrienne, 27, admitted to Matt, 29, that she doesn’t want children – despite him hoping to start a family.
Matt said: ‘Is there a reason why we shouldn’t work on the outside? We want to travel, we want to do bits and bobs. I would one day like to have kids.’
Getting serious, Adrienne replied: ‘I think we are in an amazing place and I think the world of you.
‘But it does worry me that you do want kids. I’ve always said ‘don’t want them’. And I’ve never met anybody that’s made me want to change that answer.’

Adrienne told Matt: ‘You would make an amazing dad but I’ve never met anyone who’s changed my mind on it’
Looking disappointed, Matt replied: ‘Ummm… do you think that it could be changed?’
Adrienne said: ‘You would make an amazing dad but I’ve never met anyone who’s changed my mind on it.’
Viewers quickly took to X/Twitter to ask why the experts paired Adrienne and Matt together in the first place given the choice to have or not have children is often a dealbreaker for couples.
One user wrote: ‘Re: Adrienne and Matt – one wants kids, one doesn’t. Erm… is that not something the experts should have considered when doing the matching?’
Another wrote: ‘Matt and Adrienne have just proved that the experts and the TV show are having a laugh – how can you “match” people without checking if they want kids?
‘No one should ever be matched with someone with polar opposite views on something like starting a family.’
Another added: ‘Surely the one of the first things the experts should match people on, is if they want kids or not ?’
A fourth pennned: ‘How on earth have the ‘experts’ put Adrienne and Matt together when they are at complete odda ref kids?! Madness. Literally setting them up to fail!’

Another added: ‘TBF if you’re going to have a long term commitment such as marriage, then it having children is a genuine question to be on the same page about.
It doesn’t have to be a deal breaker as attitudes change. But if Adrienne is adamant. Walk now.’
