Danny Cipriani’s estranged wife has accused his current girlfriend of making up stories for attention and claims she went ‘to financial hell and back’ during her short lived marriage to the rugby player.
Victoria Rose exchanged vows with Cipriani in 2021, but the marriage would last for just two years before she filed for divorce, citing his alleged drug abuse and sexting with two other women as mitigating factors in the split.
The retired sportsman, 37, has since embarked on a new relationship with American actress AnnaLynne McCord, who referred to herself as his ‘wife’ during a recent appearance at the 33rd annual Broadcasting+Cable Hall Of Fame in New York City.
When pressed on her marital status in front of gathered media, a coy McCord – who was not wearing a wedding ring – told the Daily Mail: ‘I decline to comment.’
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Victoria claimed McCord’s response was a strategic attempt at gaining column inches.
She wrote: ‘She know – and I know – that would be the only line to make the headline. And it did… let me save everyone the time and effort digging – unless Daniel’s taken up bigamy, he’s still married to me.

‘It’s very self-explanatory what this was trying to cause.’
Victoria also accused Cipriani of putting her through ‘hell’ during the marriage, which is yet to be officially terminated.
Sharing a video of the rugby player, she wrote: ‘These are the words of my estranged husband to me, the wife he now rewrites history about. Four years on, he’s dragged me through hell and back, financially and emotionally.
‘And continues to do so. The story he tells now, is a lot different. Everything to suit his narrative, to soothe his conscience.’
Victoria has previously claimed the former rugby player blew £600 a month on drugs and messaged other women during their four-year marriage.
Speaking to The Sun last year, Victoria admitted she was ‘heartbroken’ after discovering messages between Cipriani and other women.
She said: ‘I was shocked, heartbroken. They weren’t sexts but they were telling women they were beautiful, and about the connections he felt. Not the kind of thing you want to read your husband sending.’
Cipriani’s drug taking became a problem in their relationship, according to Victoria, who said she was ‘upset’ by the amount he was consuming.

She added: ‘I got so sick of it. It started to upset me. Everyday he said he wouldn’t do drugs. Then by midday he’d be back on them.’
Following McCord’s refusal to discuss her marital status, a spokesperson for her TV show Days Of Our Lives told the Daily Mail that ‘Danny and AnnaLynne are not married.’
McCord, who found fame in hit show The O.C, also admitted the former rugby ace can be prone to bouts of jealousy whenever he sees her kissing another man onscreen.
‘I would say he’s territorial and sexy,’ she told the Daily Mail in October. ‘You know, as women, we love that.’
McCord was thought to be one of several women Cipriani, 37, dated following his painful separation from ex-wife Victoria in 2023, after four years of marriage.

Following their initial separation in January, an insider told Daily Mail: ‘Danny and AnnaLynne have decided to part ways.
‘They have known each other for years after meeting at on celebrity dating app Raya but being in an official relationship hasn’t worked out for them.
‘Danny was spending the majority of his time in America to be with AnnaLynne but since their split he has been at home, which is the biggest sign they’re over for good.
‘Their romance was very turbulent, Danny is going through a very difficult divorce and wasn’t able to give AnnaLynne everything she needed.
‘Being in another serious relationship wasn’t something he wanted so soon after his separation from Victoria.’
A red carpet appearance at an Emmy nominations party on July 18 confirmed they were back together, with the couple hand-in-hand as they arrived at the event before sharing a kiss in front of waiting photographers.
Only 24-hours earlier, McCord was pictured wearing what appeared to be a bridal themed ivory gown while celebrating her 38th birthday with Cipriani.
Sharing a picture with Instagram followers, the former rugby player wrote: ‘Happy birthday to My Love. Your light shines so bright, as you see the light in everyone you meet.
‘You give your heart so effortlessly. You are creating a world of unity and love with your star dust everywhere you go.’
