Victoria Beckham reveals crying during her ‘triggering’ new documentary and her dislike for herself in David’s series.

Victoria Beckham has opened up about how she ‘cried’ during her ‘triggering’ new documentary and revealed she didn’t like herself in her husband David’s Netflix series.

The former Spice Girl, 51, is letting the cameras into her life in a new project following the success of husband David’s docuseries.

The docuseries will see the singer and fashion designer get candid about her family and the Spice Girls, as well as touching on business struggles and money she has lost.

But speaking to The Sunday Times, Victoria has admitted that filming the series was emotional and triggering for her – and fans will see her break down.

‘There have been lots of triggers, I cried, like I said, I haven’t seen the final edit, but yes, I did cry,’ she said. ‘It takes quite a lot to make me cry, but I did cry.’

Victoria went on to admit that she didn’t like herself in husband David’s Netflix documentary – after a scene of her being reminded she was driven to school in a Rolls Royce went viral.

She said: ‘If I’m being completely honest, I didn’t love me in that documentary.’

Elsewhere in the chat, Victoria admitted it must have been ‘so tough’ for Liam and Noel Gallagher’s mother during their decades-long feud in a hint towards her own feelings about issues with her son Brooklyn.

Victoria and her husband David, 50, have been locked in a row with their son, 26, and his heiress wife Nicola Peltz, 30, amid claims he has become increasingly estranged from the family after failing to attend any of his father’s 50th birthday celebrations in May.

Now, Victoria has seemingly used another famous family feud to hint at her true feelings on the fallout with their eldest child.

Speaking about Oasis’s long-awaited reunion following years of public feuding between Liam and Noel Gallagher, Victoria spared a thought for their mum Peggy.

She said it must have been difficult for Peggy for her sons to be estranged for so long and how happy she must be that they have reunited.

Victoria went on to discuss her own family but made no mention of son Brooklyn – with the publication revealing the writer was instructed not to ask any questions about the rumoured feud with her son.

In the first trailer for her upcoming documentary, Victoria joked that she comes across like a ‘miserable cow’ as she reflected on her life and career.

Simply titled, Victoria Beckham, the three-part docuseries will be released on Netflix on October 9.

On Wednesday, Netflix released a first look trailer that featured interviews with her celebrity pals Tom Ford and Eva Longoria and there was even a subtle glimpse of eldest son Brooklyn amid their family feud.

Following reports that Brooklyn will be featuring in the show – Victoria appeared to extend an olive branch to her son with the inclusion of a blink and you’ll miss it flashback snap of him as a baby.

The trailer began with Victoria admitting: ‘People thought I was that miserable cow that never smiled. But I do! Don’t be shocked.’

As clips of her time in the Spice Girls flashed up she insisted that she has ‘never forgotten where I’ve come from’ and revealed that from childhood she has always ‘desperately wanted to be liked’.

The trailer also touched on her transition from pop star to fashion designer, with fellow designer Tom confessing that ‘a lot of people didn’t take it seriously’.

Desperate Housewives star Eva then reveals ‘everyone was warning her, “you will not be accepted”‘.

The trailer ends with David consoling his wife by declaring: ‘You could make a cheese and ham toasted sandwich and we’d be proud of you’, to which Victoria quips: ‘Let’s be honest I couldn’t actually make a cheese sandwich very well.’

The documentary promises to give exclusive access to Victoria, her family, and those closest to her.

As a result Victoria has put her heartache over her eldest son Brooklyn’s estrangement to one side and has made sure he features in her show – despite not appearing in the trailer.

Despite the fashion designer having had no contact with Brooklyn since May, she has refused to cut scenes of him in the documentary which follows Victoria’s burgeoning business empire.

Sources close to the project have revealed that a scene where Brooklyn helps clear the catwalk at her Paris Fashion Week show in September 2024 of water after a rainstorm will be included.

Victoria will be seen asking her team and family to be all hands on deck, and begin mopping the catwalk. All of Victoria’s children will appear in the show.

‘The show is about Victoria’s fashion and beauty empire and the Paris show where Brooklyn was part of that story,’ says a source. ‘So Brooklyn will be in the show, that is for certain.’

Brooklyn, who is married to American heiress Nicola Peltz, will be joined on the docuseries by his younger brothers Romeo and Cruz.

They will feature in scenes connected to fashion. One is understood to be Cruz being fitted for a suit in the run-up to one of his mother’s fashion shows.
