Victoria Beckham Perfects Her Pose for Sir David’s Big Moment with King Charles

Victoria Beckham Perfects Her Pose for Sir David’s Big Moment with King Charles

Victoria Beckham has been breaking out the Posh poses for twenty years and her husband David’s royal investiture ceremony was no exception.

The couple swapped red carpets and runways for the Grand Reception Room at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, where King Charles presented the former footballer with his knighthood.

And Victoria’s years of posing came in very useful for David’s big moment.

As her husband kneeled before the King, Victoria, who was stood to one side with David’s parents Ted and Sandra Beckham, was seen adjusting her pose.

Perhaps realising that cameras would be capturing her reaction, Posh Spice stepped forward with her left foot – a small tweak to perfect her elegant pose.

The Spice Girl looked stunning in a custom version of her fashion brand’s Bela dress for the occasion, but she also ensured her husband was looking his very best, creating a bespoke suit for the new Sir David.

The fashion designer gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the painstaking design process behind the look, created by her very own fashion house exclusively for the former footballer’s investiture.

At Sir David’s behest, the designer worked from old photos of King Charles wearing an identical morning suit to create her first ever menswear piece for the Victoria Beckham Atelier range.

A medium-weight construction, the three-piece look was crafted with the finest British wool mohair and embellished with a series of Royal flourishes, notably the distinctive lapel chain.

Victoria, meanwhile, wore a custom version of her brand’s Bela dress – perhaps symbolising the future of her fashion brand: a dual approach with clothing for both men and women.

Captioning a photo of herself alongside Sir David, taken at Windsor Castle on Tuesday, she wrote: ‘A day we’ll never forget. David wears the first ever tailored menswear piece from the Victoria Beckham atelier – a bespoke three-piece morning suit in British wool mohair, inspired by the timeless sophistication of British royal style.

‘I’m so proud of you. Thankful for this moment and for my incredible team who worked so hard to bring the vision to life.’

Sir David was made a knight of the British empire for services to sport and charity during Tuesday’s investiture, notably his impact on football over a twenty year period and subsequent ambassadorial role with UNICEF.

Victoria shared a post for her ‘kind, humble, hardworking’ husband, writing: ‘David, from the moment I met you 28 years ago, you’ve always been so proud to represent your country.’

‘Whether on or off the pitch, no one loves England or respects our Royal Family more, so to see you honoured by The King today is something I’ll forever cherish.’

‘You’ve achieved so much, and yet you’re still the same kind, humble, hardworking man I met nearly 30 years ago, as well as the most amazing husband and father.

‘I’ve never felt prouder than I do today. Sir David, we all love you so much xxx’

Son Romeo, 24, offered his own social media congrats, writing: ‘No one deserves this more than you, love you so much xxx Congrats Sir dad’.
