Strictly Come Dancing’s Vicky Pattison has dished out ‘show goss’ as she revealed her brutal injuries from her gruelling training sessions.
The former Geordie Shore star, 37, was announced as part of the line-up for the latest series of Strictly Come Dancing, which launches on Saturday.
Giving her fans a glimpse of the reality behind the glitzy BBC competition, she shared an album of pictures to Instagram, featuring gruesome images of her feet torn to pieces.
She also revealed she had been eating locusts for a ‘protein snack’ as she shared a glimpse of her Strictly rehearsals to announce her latest episode of her podcast, Get A Grip.
In the latest release, Vicky told her co-host Angela Scanlon, who also appeared on the competition in 2023, that she didn’t expect her injuries to come so soon.
‘The rate I went from having perfectly normal feet to absolutely butchered dancer’s feet, just happened overnight’, she explained.

‘It can happen in a good 30 seconds if you are having a good rub at the cha cha.’
Vicky then opened up about the struggles of being ‘working class’ while preparing for the show, as she said it has been quite ‘exposing’.
She said: ‘We will say there has been a bit of a current problem. So I have spent 30 years of my life apologising to be everywhere, whether I am up there chatting on TV or chatting to someone in a bar, I am always like, “I am so grateful to be here, I am so humble”.
‘That’s what we are, we are working class women and all the rest of it and now doing strictly it’s all, eye contact and power and passion and I’m thinking “f*****g hell”. I don’t have any of these things.
To which Angela quipped: ‘But also it is quite exposing. Because you are all of those things on the surface’.
Vicky agreed and confessed that something small could happen and she would ‘hate herself’.
During the lead up to the first episode of the glitzy competition, the former I’m A Celebrity winner said she’d prefer to chow down on kangaroo testicles in the jungle than face the dancefloor as she has struggled with rehearsals.
Speaking to The Sun, the reality star admitted she’s already feeling the pressure. She confessed: ‘I’d take kangaroo balls over glitter balls any day. I’m really done in.’

The 2015 jungle queen continued: ‘I’m not a dancer or an athlete at all. I’m struggling with that. But, more than anything, the nerves are just getting the better of me already.
‘I’m getting frustrated and finding it hard to pick it up. I’m worried about being rubbish, going out first and falling over.’
The star also admitted that when she first entered the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Jungle, she felt ready to take on the challenge.
However, with Strictly, she feels the complete opposite and says she’s currently ‘living on her nerves’.
Vicky revealed she now understands why Pete Wicks, 36, smoked so much during his time on the last series, as she’s finding herself overwhelmed with nerves ahead of her debut.
Thankfully, she has husband Ercan Ramadan, 32, by her side, whom she described as supportive, kind, and excited for her.
She also said she wishes she could be more like him, as nothing seems to faze him, and he takes everything in his stride.
Despite their differences, Vicky believes it’s their opposite personalities that make them work so well as a couple.
Strictly was plunged into chaos earlier last week after the show’s secret pairings were leaked online.
BBC bosses had gone to great lengths to keep the pairs under wraps ahead of this weekend’s big launch, where 15 celebrities will go head-to-head for the glitterball trophy.
But the tightly guarded secret didn’t last long, as the 2025 celebrity-pro pairings appeared online – with fans already buzzing over the line-up.
Only hours earlier, stars including Dani Dyer, Vicky, La Voix and Chris Robshaw had filmed a dazzling pre-recorded number with their professional partners for the opening show.
And, true to form, Strictly’s notorious ‘super-spoiler’ had struck once again.
The fan has been leaking the results show outcomes on his website and X page for more than a decade.
The Daily Mail has chosen not to share the leaked pairings to avoid spoiling the surprise for viewers.
The BBC was contacted for comment at the time.
Strictly fans flocked to X to react to the leaked list, with many divided over the pairings.
They penned: ‘The #Strictly pairings are interesting’; ‘Ooooh the #Strictly pairings are out, some very interesting ones in there, looking forward to see how they play out’,
‘I know the pairings and all I’m going to say is I’m shocked. Some real unexpected ones in there’; ‘Oooh the spoiler some interesting pairings #strictly’; ‘The #Strictly pairings Day = Ruined!’

‘None of the strictly pairings really fill me with excitement this year.’
Daily Mail revealed in 2022 the identity of the ‘Strictly super spoiler’, who has been publishing the identity of the axed pairings on his website Strictly Spoiler every Saturday evening since 2012.
David Thorp, who is estranged from his wife Angie, insisted he’s not taking the fun out of the show, saying there’s an ‘appetite’ for viewers to know the result as soon as it’s available.
And he also blamed the BBC for not doing two live shows to prevent leaks from happening.
David told the Daily Mail: ‘I’m just providing a service and am not spoiling anyone’s enjoyment.
‘I don’t put the results for everyone to see, and they have to search for my site to find out the results.
‘There is an appetite from people who want to know the results before Sunday.
‘It could be argued that the BBC is to blame for recording something which is of massive interest the day before.’
David claims he doesn’t have one ”source’ and he learns the result each week from various audience members, despite what insiders say.
He explained: ‘I find out the result by audience members there on the night contacting me or from the other Strictly spoiler sites around.’
