Vera Wang looked strikingly different as she debuted a brand new hairstyle while stepping out at the 2025 Met Gala on Monday night.
The world-famous designer, 75, is known for her daring creations and she once again made sure to turn heads when she stepped out for the fashion event of the year.Â
She was almost unrecognizable as she sported micro bangs rather than her usual middle parting and concealed her face behind large aviator shades.
Vera also sported a white gown with a daringly low neckline which reached almost down to her waist as she posed for the cameras.
The unusual dress also featured black feathers around the straps as well as a dramatic grey feathered mermaid skirt, adding a unique touch to the look.
Vera later ditched her incognito shades as she posed for more photographs bare-faced while storming with A-list charity event.

Deemed the Oscars of the East Coast, the Met Gala sees some of the biggest stars descend on the iconic The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
This year, Teyana Taylor, La La Anthony and Ego Nwodim hosted the Vogue livestream, with Emma Chamberlain tasked with doing interviews on the blue carpet.
This year’s was also the first Met Gala in more than 20 years to have a menswear theme, with the focus being Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.
The gala was hosted by a group of Black male celebrities, including singer Pharrell Williams, who is also Louis Vuitton menswear director, while Lewis Hamilton, Colman Domingo, and A$AP Rocky were co-chairs.
LeBron James, who was named an honorary chair, missed the gala due to the knee injury he suffered in the Lakers’ season-ending loss to the Timberwolves during Game 5 of their first-round playoff series last Wednesday.Â
As this year’s honorary chair, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer confirmed that his wife, Savannah James, would attend in his place.
‘Unfortunately because of my knee injury I sustained at the end of the season I won’t be able to attend the Met Gala in NY tonight as so many people have been asking and congratulating me on!’ James, 40, wrote on X, just hours before the Met Gala red carpet event on Monday night.
They were joined by Vogue’s Anna Wintour, the mastermind behind the gala, considered the year’s biggest and starriest party.

The A-list lineup was packed with stars including Rihanna, Sydney Sweeney, Hailey Bieber, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Cynthia Erivo.Â
Bad Bunny, Donatella Versace, Usher, Kerry Washington, Jeremy Allen White, and Suki Waterhouse also stormed the red carpet, sporting a range of striking outfits.
Just days before the fundraiser, Sarah Jessica Parker, left fans stunned as she confirmed she would not be attending due to a scheduling conflict.Â
‘I have to work,’ the Sex and The City star told Entertainment Tonight. ‘But there’s going to be so much to see, and I look forward to seeing what everybody does and how they interpret the theme and the homework they did for the assignment. A very joyful assignment.’
Despite a string of show-stopping looks over the years, Jennifer Lopez also skipped the gala, with DailyMail.com learning that the star was busy working on her new film Office Romance.Â
Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz also skipped the highly exclusive fundraiser as they planned on attending his father David’s birthday celebrations instead, though they were notably absent from both.Â
The Met Gala raises the bulk of the curation budget for the museum’s Costume Institute.

The theme is inspired by the annual spring exhibition, which this year was based in large part on Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, a book written by Monica L. Miller, who was the guest curator of the exhibit.
‘Historical manifestations of dandyism range from absolute precision in dress and tailoring to flamboyance and fabulousness in dress and style,’ she wrote in the exhibit catalog.
‘Whether a dandy is subtle or spectacular, we recognize and respect the deliberateness of the dress, the self-conscious display, the reach for tailored perfection, and the sometimes subversive self-expression.’
