Vanessa Amorosi’s mother faces another sad setback ahead of eviction deadline from family home after court battle with her famous daughter

Vanessa Amorosi’s mother has faced another setback as a deadline to force her out of the family home looms.

Daily Mail Australia can reveal Joyleen Robinson spent Tuesday cleaning a local Mitre 10 hardware store a day after spending a heartbreaking 70th birthday without the company of any of her three daughters.

In September, Justice Steven Moore ordered Ms Robinson to move out of her dream home in Narre Warren, in Melbourne’s south-east, within 60 days of being paid $870,000 in restitution by her rockstar daughter.

Amorosi was given until March 31 to pay the money after winning her bitter Supreme Court bid to have her mother removed.

On Monday, Ms Robinson spent her birthday with her husband Peter, son Anthony, his girlfriend Rachel Godwin, and some family friends.

Already estranged from Vanessa, her other daughters Natasha and Mellissa shunned the milestone event after falling out with their mum.

The pair had accompanied Ms Robinson to and from the Supreme Court arm-in-arm throughout the 2023 civil trial.

Just months ago, Natasha hit social media to dedicate a song of her own to her mother, describing her as ‘the most amazing mum in the universe’.

Natasha had also recently shared a family photo in much happier times.

Nestled above a green hill on Boundary Road, the court battle had centred on a claim Amorosi had gifted the home to her mum during a kitchen chat sometime in 2001.

Amorosi claimed ‘victory’ after a long and public trial that saw both her and her mother in the witness box.

Ms Robinson had previously told Daily Mail Australia she would likely stay with one of her other daughters after her eventual eviction from the family home.

Speaking outside the Narre Warren property on Tuesday, Ms Godwin revealed those plans were now in tatters.

‘We’ve looked at some houses and things, but it all depends on if Vanessa pays, or she doesn’t pay. It’s all a bit complicated,’ she said.

‘It’s really hard because (Joyleen and Peter) don’t really have much of a retirement plan because they’re going to need to get another place, possibly another loan.’

The feud between Ms Robinson and Vanessa’s sisters could not have come at a worse time.

FRANK AMOROSI ‘THE MONSTER’

Frank Amorosi died in 2014 aged 60.

From the outside, he was a beloved singer and entertainer.

Behind closed doors, he was a monster.

During the 2023 civil trial, Vanessa struggled to describe her relationship with her ‘violent’ biological dad – saying ‘difficult’ was probably an understatement.

‘I don’t know whether you would say it was difficult. When Frank, my real father, and my mum separated it was one of the best moments in my life,’ she said.

‘Joy just turned 70 yesterday,’ Ms Godwin said.

‘She’s pretty sad. Her other daughters didn’t come.’

Ms Godwin declined to say what caused the split, describing the situation simply as ‘sh*t’.

‘They’re just very up and down those two. I think the Amorosi genes (are at play). They’re definitely fiery.

‘We had some family friends come.’

The Amorosi girls were all fathered by Frank Amorosi, a singer and  entertainer who Vanessa previously described as ‘violent’.

In November, Amorosi’s stepbrother Anthony told Daily Mail Australia the 60-day deadline only activated once his sister paid his mother out.

‘The orders are Vanessa has to pay us back the money that we gave her with the simple interest of 10 per cent,’ he said.

‘It’s going up every single day since the start of the court case, so it will be a million dollars by March.’

Mr Robinson claimed his sister needed to refinance a personal loan, which the family house was listed on as collateral, in order to get full control of it.

Ms Godwin, who resides at the home with Anthony, said the family remained uncertain as to whether Amorosi would pay the money by the deadline.

‘We don’t know if she’s going to pay. We don’t really know where she’s going to get the money from,’ she said on Tuesday.

‘We haven’t really heard what’s happening. We’re just waiting here to be told.’

The Narre Warren home remains practically untouched since the matter was ‘finalised’ in court.

‘We’ve been stuck in limbo pretty much since the court case,’ Ms Godwin said.

As it stands, the family could still be living inside the home come Christmas and beyond.

If unresolved, the matter could end up back in court where the nightmare situation began in 2023.

Ms Robinson had previously alleged that Amorosi’s move to the United States made her vulnerable to influence from lawyers, who persuaded her to pursue legal action against her.

In October 2023, the Australian singer entered the witness box in a Supreme Court trial in Melbourne to describe how her mother had allegedly mismanaged her finances and turned her family against her.

The court heard the singer believed her mother had exploited her wealth during the height of her popularity when she was just a teenager.

‘She’s being very generous with my money,’ Amorosi said.

Amorosi told the court she had been brainwashed into believing her mother was the only person to be trusted to handle the millions of dollars she earned after becoming a star in 2000.

‘That had happened since (I) was young. No one was to be trusted. Like that is something that is just … not your crones, not your best friends, not your management, not your step dad. The person at the end of the day that you are to trust is your mum,’ Amorosi said, breaking into tears.

‘She’s there because she really loves me and doesn’t need anything else from me other than for me to be her daughter. And so as time progressed, and I made more money, and I became more successful, everybody became the enemy.

‘Boyfriends were enemies, husband was the enemy. She was to be the only one there with the right intentions, and I believed it.’

Amorosi, who flew to Australia from Los Angeles to attend the trial, had become suspicious of her mother’s dealings with her fortune in 2014 when she engaged forensic accountants to start looking into her mother’s handling of her wealth.

After enduring a long trial that became a media circus, Amorosi won the case and was awarded the Narre Warren North home her mother claims she had been gifted.
