Former Married At First Sight star Alyssa Barmonde has revealed the surprising drinking rule cast members must follow at the dinner parties.
The 36-year-old single mother, who appeared on last year’s season of the show, told Yahoo’s Behind the Edit podcast, the cast are limited on how much alcohol they can consume.
She explained the show’s producers ‘monitor your alcohol content’.
‘If you’re too drunk, they can’t use your footage. So if you’re slurring your words and you’re really messy, they can’t use that footage,’ she said.
‘At dinner parties, we usually maybe only had one carafe of red wine, rosé and white wine and that’s it.’

Alyssa admitted that she ‘got cut off a lot’ during her season and her co-star Evelyn Ellis was ‘sneaking’ her drinks at the girls’ night.
Meanwhile, this year’s Married At First Sight couples are only a few weeks away from deciding whether or not to continue their relationship beyond the experiment.
Fan favourites Lucinda Light, 43, and Timothy Smith, 51, experienced a dramatic breakthrough in their relationship during Wednesday night’s dinner party.
The group and expert team noticed how well the pair appeared to be doing, with even rival Tori admitting ‘I don’t have a lot of time for you tonight but I will be the bigger person and say – you look closer.’

Timothy divulged that something changed during the retreat and Lucinda helped him break down his walls.
‘I am loving the unravelling of this gorgeous creature, he is such a gorgeous man,’ Lucinda announced – before an intimate moment shocked the whole table.
Lucinda’s kind words prompted Timothy to lean in for a surprise kiss – leading to cheers from around the shocked table.
