The 25th Annual Room to Grow Gala took place at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City with Eric Sutherland and Nancy Twine acting as Gala co-chairs this year.
The charity event is aimed at raising funds for needy families in the New York and Boston area with hopes to expand in the near future.
Per the event’s site, they will ‘celebrate over 25 years of supporting families. Our program plays a pivotal role in filling resource gaps and providing vital support to families facing economic challenges.
‘The demand for our program continues to rise, as do our waitlists. Your support is essential; the funds raised at this event will help us to meet the growing need for our program in our current communities and lay the groundwork for expansion into Chicago.’
The event’s dress code was black-tie optional with a cocktail reception kicking off the festivities at 6:00 p.m.
The program’s duration lasted from 7:30pm-10:00pm.
Hundreds of experiences and items were auctioned at the event with a ‘Ms. Rachel Toy and Signed Book’ listing for $205 and a ‘Welcome to the Windy City’ package bidding for $1,650.
When the iconic actress is not busy serving new looks, she spends time immersing herself in different characters for her latest projects.
In Oh, Canada, Thurman is slated to star alongside Richard Gere, 75, a documentary filmmaker who sits down for a final interview with one of his former pupils (Imperioli), where he looks back at the ‘unvarnished facts of his life, reflecting on his relationships, regrets and mortality’ and the Vietnam War.

The film premiered at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on May 17 in France, but has yet to list an official release date.
Thurman is also starring in the superhero film The Old Guard 2 alongside Charlize Theron, which is still awaiting its premiere date.
