Tyrese Gibson Breaks Silence on Dog Attack Incident

Tyrese Gibson has found a new home for all four of his dogs after they were involved in the September 18 death of a neighbor’s dog, his attorney says, while local law enforcement appears to be saying otherwise.

Gabe Banks, an attorney for The Fast and Furious mainstay, 46, told People in a statement on Tuesday that the entertainer had found new homes for his dogs.

‘Upon learning of this unfortunate accident, Mr. Gibson immediately made the difficult decision to rehome his dogs to a safe and loving environment,’ Banks said.

The entertainer ‘extends his deepest condolences to the family who lost their beloved dog to this tragic incident that occurred while Mr. Gibson was away from his home,’ his lawyer said.

The incident occurred in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta near the respective homes of the parties involved, officials said.

Daily Mail has reached out to reps for Gibson for further comment on the story.

A neighbor of the How You Gonna Act Like That singer contacted 911 claiming that one of Gibson’s dogs had maimed one of his own pets.

Following that incident, police got a search warrant and executed it on Gibson’s Atlanta home September 22, also getting an arrest warrant.

When officers got to Gibson‘s home, neither him nor the canines were on the premises, according to Atlanta news station 11Alive.

The Watts, California native is owner to four Cane Corso mastiffs while the neighbor owned a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, according to local reports.

The fate of Gibson’s four dogs remained unclear Tuesday amid conflicting accounts from Gibson’s lawyer and local officials.

Fulton County Police Animal Services Captain Nicole Dwyer told TMZ that Gibson had not met a Friday deadline to surrender his canines.

Dwyer said that Gibson had received multiple warnings about letting his dogs off the leash to walk around. Gibson’s ‘negligence’ led to the death of an ‘innocent animal,’ Dwyer said.

Police sources told the outlet that Gibson’s attorney said he needed to ‘get his affairs in order’ prior to turning in the canines. Police told the outlet they were aware Gibson posted to social media last week speaking about a ‘mental health break’ and trip to Dubai.

He initially said the week of the violent incident that he would turn his pets over to Animal Services, according to 11Alive.

The How You Gonna Act Like That singer asked for another three or four days to figure out which direction he was going to take it in, authorities told CBS Atlanta.
