Earlier this week, a fan frenzy recently engulfed Darlinghurst’s Oxford Street as internationally acclaimed rapper Tyler, the Creator launched his streetwear brand in Sydney.

The megastar, who is currently on the Australian leg of his Chromakopia tour, was snapped on Friday at the opening of his fourth Golf Wang flagship store.

The 34-year-old rapper was trendy as ever as he arrived at the bricks-and-mortar store wearing a $235 Golf Wang button-up shirt, which appeared to show a collage of pictures of hands holding a cigarette over a pair of jeans.

He paired the eye-catching ensemble with black trousers, black loafers and a black hat.

Tyler, whose real name is Tyler Gregory Okonma, was met with a large crowd of excited fans, who lined the street to catch a glimpse of the See You Again hitmaker.

He could be seen waving to the masses of people outside the Oxford Street shop while being accompanied by security.

The high-profile musician launched the clothing brand Golf Wang in 2011 as an extension of Odd Future, the musical collective he co-founded.

Tyler played three sold-out shows at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena last week, where he turned heads after making a cheeky comment about Australia.

Addressing the packed venue, Tyler said: ‘Shout out to all the black folks in the crowd,’ which was met with loud cheers.

He then playfully added: ‘Australia is the whitest place on Earth.’

Tyler’s next slew of concerts on his Chromakopia tour will be held at Perth’s RAC Arena on September 4 and 5.
