South African music artist Tyla demonstrated admirable professionalism on Tuesday as she pushed through her performance at Spotify Beach in Cannes, France after enduring a slight injury.

The 22-year-old songstress had to delay the show after getting nail glue in one of her eyes.

When she eventually made it to the stage, she told the audience, ‘I went to the hospital, I came back,’ per Page Six.

She added, ‘A lot happened, but I’m here and I’m going to have fun with you guys. The energy is amazing.’

The event, part of Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, also saw sets from Shaboozey and John Legend.

Sharing footage from her performance via Instagram Stories, she wrote, ‘Got nail glue in my eye, rushed to hospital to get it removed. Had sound issues. But still served.’

The star wrapped up the note: ‘I’m back n betta.’

Per Page Six’s account, Tyla — full name Tyla Laura Seethal — said she recognized ‘familiar faces’ in the audience.

‘So, we going to have a party tonight, OK?’ she said as she interacted with the crowd, which was reportedly filled media pros.

Tyla performed songs from her self-titled debut album, which was released on March 22.

Her energetic show included six backup dancers and before she left the stage, she said ‘You guys are amazing. Thank you so much for waiting!’
