Charlie Sheen is determined to be ‘respected in Hollywood again’ as he makes plans for a comeback after years of substance abuse and pubic outbursts, according to insiders, who claim the actor is keen to avoid any drama amid his ongoing court battle against his neighbor.
The Two and a Half Men alum, 58, became embroiled in a legal feud with Electra Schrock, a woman who lives in his Malibu apartment complex and allegedly tried to ‘choke’ him during a dispute on December 20.
Electra, 47, was charged with ‘felony assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury’ and plead not guilty.
Now, a source has told DailyMail.com exclusively that Charlie is ‘not stressed’ over the incident and is instead focusing on ‘working more again’ and ‘righting the wrongs he has made.’

The insider added that the actor, who was once well-known for being an ardent partier with a troublesome temper, ‘has matured’ immensely and is fiercely determined to repair his tarnished reputation.
‘Charlie is happy and not stressed out over the incident with his neighbor. He is confident with what the cops and court have done so far,’ they said.

‘Though it was court-ordered that she has to stay away from him, he will do anything the court recommends from this point on to have this be an afterthought.
‘He has enjoyed being away from drama the last few years and he wants 2024 to continue that.’
The source explained that Charlie – who, aside from a brief cameo appearance in an episode of Bookie, hasn’t acted in anything since 2017 – is hoping to make a major comeback now that he’s turned over a ‘new’ leaf.
‘Charlie is focused on his health and working more again and just righting a lot of wrongs he has made through the years,’ they continued.
‘He has matured and would like to be respected in Hollywood again. He doesn’t want to be anyone’s burden.
‘He just hopes the next time he is in the news is because he did something great and not because of some random attack or outburst.

DailyMail.com has reached out to Charlie’s reps for comment.
During the ’80s and ’90s, Charlie starred in a slew of big movies and shows including Platoon, Wall Street, The Three Musketeers, The Arrival, and Spin City.
Arguably his most notable role was the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, which premiered in 2003 and went on for 12 seasons before it ended in 2011.
But as his career flourished, he faced a slew of controversies including numerous stints in rehab, multiple public meltdowns, three failed marriages, and a few run-ins with the law.
He also faced allegations of sexual assault in 2017 and again in 2020 when Corey Feldman claimed the actor had raped a then 13-year-old Corey Haim in 1986. He has vehemently denied the allegation.
Last weekend it was reported that the star, who mostly lives a quiet life out of the spotlight, had an altercation with his neighbor a few days prior.
The incident reportedly began at around 1pm after Charlie heard a knock at his door – with Electra allegedly bursting into his home.
It was said that she attempted to strangle the father-of-five and ripped his shirt in the process. He did not require any hospital treatment.

Charlie, who is now almost six years sober, told police that Electra had dumped garbage in front of his door the day before the attack and recently squirted a ‘sticky liquid’ on his car, per TMZ.
The judge set her bail at $75,000 and granted a temporary restraining order barring her to stay away from Charlie.
Electra’s lawyer said during the hearing that she ‘grabbed Charlie by the collar’ and not the neck, adding: ‘It doesn’t seem like anything more than an overfilled misdemeanor battery.
‘There were no injuries. The victim was examined by a medical doctor who stated that he was fine.’
Charlie’s attorney told the court that he is ‘quite fearful’ following the incident.
She also claimed that the 58-year-old had stitches on his body from a previous injury, and that the tussle resulted in one ‘coming out.’
