The Gold Coast’s most tumultuous couple are back together. For now, at least.
Skye Wheatley has confirmed she is ‘on’ with with her on-again-off-again partner Lachlan Waugh following a series of brief splits.
The couple have been together for six years and share two children, in addition to jointly overseeing an ambitious and expensive home renovation project.
When I spoke to Skye during an influencer event in Bali on Tuesday, she immediately cleared up the rumours about her ‘break-up’.
She explained she and Lachlan were in a better place after they decided to take time apart as ‘co-parents’.
‘Sometimes you need to take a break and evaluate where you’re at and it can be very stressful,’ she told me.
‘But I am glad we did take a healthy breather because things are perfect now.’
The former reality star has previously spoken at length about the couple’s struggles, including their experience in counselling.

‘I feel like people can relate to what we’ve gone through – juggling work and kids is hectic,’ she added.
‘Relationships are hard and it’s very challenging, but I’m also excited to get to Thailand [over Christmas] and have some family time and just not have to think about it and enjoy a break as a family.’
Skye first hinted at trouble in paradise in February last year, revealing she and Lachlan were ‘on a break’ and ‘co-parenting’ their two children, Forest, six, and Bear, three.
She told her TikTok followers they had agreed she would look after their sons for two nights, then Lachlan would take them for the next two nights, and so on.
But the arrangement didn’t last and Lachlan asked Skye to ‘come home’ so they could parent their boys together.
‘There’s a bit of confusion around a couple of my last posts when I’m talking about co-parenting with Lachy,’ Skye explained at the time.
‘Basically, we trialled co-parenting. I would have the kids two nights then he would have the kids two nights. And then, yeah, two nights on, two nights off.’
Skye said Lachy had pleaded with her to ‘come home’ soon into the experiment.

‘After a little bit of doing that, and he was like, “Okay, you can come home now,”‘ she said.
‘Obviously, I don’t think he liked it. We like being together as a family. But I feel like for us, we just needed a break. Just a little break.’
Skye, who was a guest of Australian brand Balearic Beauty International at Private Jet Villa in Uluwatu, Bali, also confirmed she had no cosmetic work planned for 2025, after a recent slew of surgeries sparked concerns she was ‘addicted’ to going under the knife.
She underwent a ‘fox eye lift’ procedure at a clinic in Turkey earlier this year.
The minimally invasive procedure uses dissolvable threads to lift and elongate the eye in order to create a more almond shape and an upturned look, and typically lasts for six to 12 months.
She also had a partial facelift, a less invasive and more subtle alternative to a traditional facelift that only targets the lower third of the face.
The popular influencer has come on board as a brand ambassador for Balearic Beauty International (formerly Brow Bible Academy) for its rebrand.
‘I was drawn to affiliate myself with the brand because I like their products,’ she said.
‘I believe in being authentic and it has been an organic partnership, working with the girls.’
